Reviewing My College SRM University

I've both positive and negative remarks for my college.In sense of teaching as well as knowledge standpoint i rank my college a little less than other colleges as i hoped for more but saying that in character building as well as teams and organising standpoint it's on par with the best.

Course curriculum for CSE is not excellent but do the job.We are given one semester for each programming language which is not enough. Exams are way too much and conducted each year inconsistently. As of Right now there are three internals,two practicals and one end sem exam.

Placement and jobs are the one place where SRM excelles.College bring many companies to provide internships opportunities and conducts placement training.But as for availablity for internship, companies have their limits and that's why very few can get into them thus stipend also depends on the company to company

There are two main events and fests.one is techno fest 'Aarush' and the other is cultural fest 'Milan'. Both of them is widely recognised and are fun in every other way. Various events and meets often occur between these fests

Well to be honest, it's expensive.For different branches, we have different fee structure and its upwards in the range of 3.5 lakhs and more.Srm also provide scholarships for first 10,000 students according to their entrance score.

Scholarships are offered on Student fees according to the srmjee result. Mostly for CSE with scholarship, student have to pay 2.5 lakhs compared to 3.5 lakhs for no scholarship.Srm has it's own hospital or medical sector which allows for free treatment for srm students.

It holds basketball court, tennis courts, badminton courts,huge area for football as well as cricket.One can easily pursue their hobby in Srm. As for activities,their is something going on every other day and anyone can take part in those meets or activities.

Alumni meets are crucial and for that srm has their own alumni groups and teams which handle their network thus allowing for good opportunities. Senior students were helpful as they made the pathway for us to follow in and we are trying to do the same for our juniors.

I got admission through SRMJEE which is an entrance exam conducted by SRM. Once the result came in, you are required to attend the orientation and select your preferred stream/course at the SRM University, kattankulathur, Chennai.

Many faculties which I've encountered have knowledge but they lack in teaching skill as well as handling students plus making the student understand the topic. I know most of them have Phd. degrees and have vast knowledge on their respective subjects but communication is the key and many of the students can't seem to grab that much of the concept from them.
