SRMIST review

Our college is quite good that is it comes in top 50 University in India. The facilities provided are really nice. Faculties are also fine. Remaining everything depends on students ,how much effort they put to get good placement.

The course curriculum followed in my university is same as most of the other colleges in India. They follow the core subject as well as the students are given option to choose professional as well as open elective subjects according to one's field of interest. But still curriculum could have been improved According to me. The exam are taken on regular basis. There are Cycle test every month covering different portion of syllabus. In final exam it is of 100 marks with full syllabus.

The placements are fine. Actually almost every students get placed. The salary definitely vary. The highest can be 40 lack per annum while the least can be 3 lack per annum. Everything depends on the skill of Student. Specially my branch that is CSE has a good placement record. The college helps with internship in the 6th semester. I can't elobrate on it as I am in 3 rd semester. But the senios tell us that overall expirence is quite good.

There are many events happening in the college. The two Major events are AARUUSH and MILAN. The Aaruush is a national level techno management fest. It is a complete student based organisation. No money is taken from outside source. The milan on the other hand is a cultural fest. In milan we see dance, music , standup comedy , fashion etc. Many celebrities from all across India are invited as guest for the fest. Apart from there are numerous clubs and societies and they organize their own event.

The fee structure varies according to one's rank in the entrance exam that is SRMJEE. If you get good marks then you will get less fees while the one with bad rank will have high fees. The fee structure can be said as expensive as compared to other colleges.

There are scholarship presented on multiple basis. If you have secured a very good rank in SRMJEE then your whole fees become free. Apart from these various other scholarship are present such as due to financial background , due to army background , due to good marks in 10th and 12th etc. The scholarship is also provided on the basis of CGPA.

The labs in the university are really great. All labs are equipped with the best computers and modern machine. Really fast internet is also present. For extracurricular activities there are clubs such as dance club , music club etc. one can join and learn there. There are many sports grounds present where students can play and enjoy.

The alumni network is well established. Many seminars are organized by previous year alumni for guiding us. There is a great bond between seniors and juniors. They help us in our problems such as choosing subjects and teachers. They help in pattern of exam etc.

I had given SRMJEE which is the entrance exam for SRMIST. It was an online exam with MCQ. After the result was announced , I was asked to come for counseling according to my rank. There I was allotted my branch. After 1 month the college started.

The faculties have quite good teaching experience. There teaching methods are nice. Some of them uses board to teach while others may use powerpoint presentation. They help specially in practical. Also the students are given freedom to choose between faculties so they must maintain their good teaching.
