Life at SRM

Positives : we get a lot of outside exposure to explore ourselves and Excel in life. Personal development is a thing which is given a lot of care about and they take every possible step to accomplish that. Negatives : hectic study schedule. Difficult to adjust between college life and social life.

The course curriculum changes regularly so I'm not sure about the current curriculum. But anyways they cover whatever basics are necessary at engineering level. Coming to the exam structure, it's really hectic process. Every month they conduct internal exams for a certain week along with surprise tests and assignments.

Placements are superb for CSE, IT AND SWE and the worst for civil. Mechanical , electrical, automobile and rest all get average no. of companies visiting them, the avg package being around 4lpa. Internships are not provided by the college and we have to arrange them all by ourselves.

2 national level events are organised in our college every year 1. Aaruush - highly rated and popular techno event that the college students organise every year and are attended by many bigger stars and celebrities from around the nation 2. Milan - it goes the same as the Aaruush.

Fee Structure is well feasible if you get a good rank otherwise you'll sweat heavily for studying without a good rank. Every branch has its rank cutoff and you're safe regarding fees of ypu have the cutoff rank.

This college offers scholarship to meritorious students who perform excellent in the entrance exams as well as academics in the college. Every year scholarship is renewed and updated so you can improve yourself and avail then at ease.

Labs are a better quality as compared to other colleges at this level. There's a lot to learn. We'll have some 20-25 lacs in our whole curriculum which is a great opportunity to learn great things in variety. Extra curricular activities are also highly recognised through college fests where we get a chance to showcase our talents and also get rewarded for the same. Three are also different sports club where we can join according to our interest and Excel in it.

Hostel infrastructure is one of the best among all and there are strict rules and guidelines to follow while staying in hostel. This is for our own security. Only thing that's a concern is the mess. Although they maintain hygeine and quality the issue is about taste. Localities won't find it an issue but North Indians are gonna hate them gradually.

Alumni network is highly recognised in this college as they always keep a record about each and every student from the past and the alumni association grips students a lot on excelling in their career. They also contribute a lot towards the betterment of the college.

SRMJEEE is the entrance gateway for admission into this university for B. Tech. course and we have to achieve the cutoff rank in the entrance exam to get our preferred branch. Or else the fees would be high if we still want to get our preferred branch without having the cutoff rank.

Depends on your branch. The lenient being the CSE faculty and the hardest being the MECHANICAL faculty. Rest all are lying in between these categories. CSE is followed by IT, SWE, ECE, EEE, and so on.
