Review for SRM IST MAIN Campus

It's a good college all in all but the hostel quality sure can be improved. Other than this the college offers and experience and environment which makes the students independent and mature over the 4 years. The college is well connected with the city and a lot of facilities are available in and around the campus.

The course curriculum I'm studying is the newest and I'm from the first batch studying this curriculum and it is a pretty well designed curriculum in my opinion. The heads and faculties have taken quite a lot of care and caution in designing the curriculum.

Yes, this college does provide extensive placement opportunities after graduation and it has a very high placement record, the highest placement this year was of 41.6 LPA and was given by Microsoft to a student of the computer science department.

Cultural fest - Milan(one of India's biggest) Technical fest- AARUUSH These two are the most important events in the campus and are conducted once a year. These events are conducted on a very extravagant size.

It's reasonable but a little in the higher scale in my opinion. They charge from 2.5 lpa to 4 lpa depending on the rank scored in the entrance exam this fees is excludeding the scholarship. The fees is based upon the rank.

A lot of banks come to the college to set up stalls to give an idea about student loans during admission and they offer very good schemes. I'm nit really sure about this as I didn't opt for taking a loan.

The extracurricular activities are pretty good and there are many grounds and sports complexes all over the campus which allow students to use them 24x7 without any charges. The labs are well equipped.

The hostel is okayish and could be made better but the surrounding areas near the college have amazing housing facilities for nearly the same rate and majority of the students prefer staying over there over the hostel. The hostels do need a makeover and the facilities can be improved a lot.

The seniors do help a lot and share their experiences and knowledge with us and help us in taking the right decision for many things. The seniors who are part of clubs and teams are very knowledgeable.

Entrance exam by the name SRMJEEE was written and based on the rank admission was given. The rank system was accurate and the fast filling courses were computer science engineering and electronics and communication engineering. The whole admission process was a lenghi at the same time well organised by the college but could've been made a little easier and the centres could've been kept in a block instead of many blocks this surely would've saved a lot of energy.

The faculty in this college is like that in every other college, there's two types of faculties the good ones and the bad ones, the bad ones spoil your mood and semester and the good ones know just how to keep the whole class engaged and are very knowledgeable. Every faculty here is knowledgeable and experienced.
