My college

The positive thing of my college is that the faculties are very student friendly which makes us as a student to clarify every subject related doubts without any hesitation. Incase a faculty can't clarify a doubt at that moment he strives hard to clarify that as early as possible by referring other sources. The negative thing is that the pressure of excellence is high on every student and the sports are not effective.

The course curriculum in my college is well organised and neat. They conduct a exam on weekly basis, the marks of that exam will be used as internals. The internals comprises of 40 marks out of which 25 marks are taken from mid exams and another 15 marks comprises of attendance, faculty assessment and weekly exams. The 60 marks are for semester exams.

The placements are good. Number of companies like Infosys, Capgemini,Wipro , TCS etc. are visiting the college and good number of students are getting placed each year. No my college doesn't provided any internship till now.

Events take place regularly like Techfest where every student gets a chance to showcase his/her technical knowledge by showcasing live models in expo's held in college. Another event is called YUVTARANG where the students can participate in extracurricular activities like organisation of programs, dance,singing etc. And can show their talent.

The fee structure is expensive but because of fee reimbursement that is provided by the state government to all the reservation candidates it becomes somewhat reasonable but to those who are not qualified to earn that fee reimbursement it becomes expensive.

The fee waiver program is there in my college where 100% fee is waived in case student tops the whole year. Another scholarship is given based on the percentage of student in that semester provided that student must be having attendance and curriculum percentage of 75% and above and shouldn't have a backlog.

The structure of labs and sports are good but still they need some support from faculty so that a student can participate in all extracurricular activities. In this field my college need some improvement and as for labs are concerned they are well infrastructured and they take place very effectively.

The seniors are very helpful like giving advices and helping juniors in planning their future. The alumni is very huge of my college and some of the passedout students still conducts some time skill development workshops in the college which are proving to be very helpful.

I got admitted after qualifying in EAMCET. An exam for getting seats in engineering colleges of ANDHRA PRADESH. The colleges are alloted based on the rank that you get in that competitive exam. Some cut off ranks are alloted to colleges.
