Reality of hotel management from IHM FARIDABAD

Everything is fine but there are rules like students can not sit in the class while on break and we dont have good ventilation or air conditioning facility in summers we all sweat terribly including teachers.

It is a 3year degree program it consists of 6semesters. In each semester there are three exams that are conducted i.e. Mid-term, Semester end exams and IGNOU(Indra Gandhi National Open University) exam, and includes practicals. The main core subjects are- HOUSEKEEPING, FOOD AND BEVERAGE, FOOD PRODUCTION, and FRONT OFFICE. You study about each and every subject respectively; and you'll have opportunity to do practicals in which you have to do different things as per subject demands like- Housekeeping:- You'll have to clean windows, mop the floor, wood polish, brass polish, etc. Food production- You'll have to cook the food such as continental, indian. FnB- You will have to serve the food to other student or faculty and front office- you will be doing roll plays. Simultaneously you will have to write your journals.

Yes are college provide internship of 17weeks i.e. 4months approx. The stipend is approximately 1000-3000. Talking about the job opportunity hotel industry have lots of job opportunity but I haven't seen big brands like Taj, Oberoi coming and hiring our students though this college is no. 1 in haryana for hotel management.

Our college host freshers every year in the month of August in which seniors host the event and Fresher perform out there. And we have chief guest. Our college also holds Farewell every year in which mainly second year and first year participate.

I believe it is feasible our fee is 60,000/- per semester if you opt. For hostel it will overall cost you around 80,000/- So, per year it will cost you around 1 lakh 20 thousand. And if you opt. For hostel your meals, electricity will be included in 20,000/-

Yes are college do promote scholarships till 10,000/- there is exams that are conducted every semester in which you have to score marks and on that basis you get scholarship about loan i dont have any information.

Yes are college do conduct sports day in which there are sports like kabbadi, volleyball, football, badminton, and 100mtr. Sprint. And we have volleyball and badminton area where we can play in our break time.

Each and every room is on triple sharing basis. There are 3 small almira for each head. And three bed will be there and mattress will be yours there are 2fans in each room and coolers are allowed but on cost basis. In summer it is unbearable because its too hot and humid inside the room and mosquito are there. In rainy season you will find frogs jumping around in your room and in winters you might find rats in your room. Although pest control happens every week but its of no use. If you go to the washroom you'll find to much of mosquito in there.

Very few seniors turn back around to the college we dont see much seniors coming back to our college and sharing there experiences and what are they doing right now. How was there placement? How much they are earning right now? And at what post they are right now?

Through NCHMCT JEE exam it's a exam that is conducted every year in last week of April. Then results come online and there is All India Rank and on that basis you get your institute ( Central/State/Private)

6 out of 10. Because IHM Faridabad holds good and experienced faculty but there are some those who can't communicate properly in english and doesn't have proper hold on there subject and don't take students seriously But overall Ihm faridabad faculty is understanding and the discipline is strictly followed.
