Remarks

Positive- the area is large, there is a green environment with lots and lots of trees with a very good and well-maintained wifi network. Negative- the infrastructure is a bit old. The construction work usually proceeds very slowly plus the repair work takes a lot of time.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is a bit more based on theory than practical. The classes are conducted from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Courses get modified with years and on arrival newer technology. We have two internal exams however the newer batches now have just one mid sem exam. There are two semesters every year. The college exams are autonomous. The question paper is made by any senior teacher or sometimes comes from other colleges whereas the correction is done within the college. After the results are announced we are allowed for physical verification of our copies as well as can apply for rechecking by paying 200 per subject. The semester exams are conducted within the college under the invitation of teachers.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and job opportunities are better for software-related branches. While the core branches have fewer opportunities. Although the opportunity is fewer placements are still good. People with talent never go unplaced from here. There are no such opportunities for the internship that our college provides though the students individually apply for many internships and inform college for the permission.

College Events

2.5

We have a technical event called Perception which is celebrated in January every year. It's a tech-based event including some fun events. Then we have a cultural fest called Xtasy in march. It is held for 3-4days with different events every day. There are fun events, some quizzes, art and craft competitions, dance competitions and then of course star night. There is a sports event held in February called the engineer's cup where we invite different colleges and conduct sports events like basketball calls, volleyball, cricket, football, and badminton. Its continues for 3days. Then there is a literary fest for events like a poem, quiz, elocution, debate, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. For the normal branches, it's around 35000 INR per year and for SSC(self-sustainable course) the fee structure is 81,000 INR. All of this is excluding the hostel facility.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers tuition fee waiver facilities to selected students whose family income is less than 6lpa. It also offers scholarships to the top 4 students with the highest CGPA in the college of around 10,000. It doesn't offer any other facility though it approves our applications if we apply for a loan or any other student scholarship.

Campus Life

2.5

There are labs for different subjects. The equipments are a bit old and some damaged. Though computer labs are well equipped than other labs. Even though the types of equipment are old yet they are well maintained and labs are well organized.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are two hostels each for girls and boys. Facilities are mediocre. They provide meals 3 times a day in girls hostels and twice a day in boys hostels. There is also a facility for washing machines and a canteen inside the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very strong. Alumni help us in various events and works including the placements. They are kept in touch through WhatsApp Facebook and LinkedIn. The network never goes missing. It's like we are in continuous touch with our alumni members and can reach out to them easily.

Admission

We were selected on the basis of our jee all India exam marks and rank. There were few reservations for the lower castes, regional people, and women. We had to go to the ojee website i.e. the Odisha jee website and register ourselves for the Counseling process. There were 4 stages. The mock round and then round 1,2 and the final round. We make our preference list of colleges. We get allotted according to our rank as well as our order of preference. We can change the order before round 1 after which our list is locked and cannot go through any more changes. The college allotted to us in the final round is the final one. We then have to go to the respective colleges to take admissions. There is also a document verification round after round 1 where all our documents are verified. If we fail to do the verification we cannot continue in the Counseling anymore.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties here have deep knowledge about the subjects. They try to give us ideas both practically and theoretically. They do help the kids in activities other than the course study like hackathons or any other competitions. There is a friendly and positive environment that keeps the bonding between the students and teacher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams
