Remarks :
The college provides a very good ambience for studies and socializing. The campus is very wide and nature friendly. A good number of trees belonging to various types are present in college. The college has good infrastructure and tries to maintain the traditional architecture wherever possible.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college runs under Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The exams are conducted under the guidelines of the university. The course is divided into 6 semesters with both external and internal assessment in each semester. The course curriculum is wide enough to cover almost all aspects of commerce.
Placement Experience :
There is a placement cell operating in the college for the same. The placements and job opportunities are updated and notified to students via email. College does not provide any internship for graduation students.
College Events :
Various events are celebrated in college including Elections, Union day, College day, Arts day, Sports day, Interdepartmental fests, Occasional events and so on. There are various events and competitions conducted in the department level also. Various events are conducted by various political units student groups working in college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible compared to others private colleges in the same locality. It is affordable and concession is also given to deserving students on the basis of various circumstances. The books are also affordable and they can be bought from college book store itself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Post matric scholarship is one which a lot of students have availed. The college does not provide much scholarship for students. Students generally avail scholarships provided by Government on the basis of marks and income.
Campus Life :
The college gives a high level of importance for sports and extracurriculars. There are seats reserved for sports students and good coaching is also provided. Extracurriculars including theatre is promoted well and coaching or training is also provided under the college union.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network is working well and they provide valuable information including information about job opportunities. They are helpful. Reunions are conducted for old students. A huge reunion for all the old students was conducted in 2018.
Admission :
I got admission through merit list since I had enough marks to qualify for the same. Another way of getting admission is via management seats which are very limited in number. Recommendations or reference would provide weightage to the application for admission in management seats. Donation amount must be paid for management seats.
Faculty :
The faculties are well educated and experienced. They are the support for students and keen interest is shown towards imparting knowledge to students. The faculties try to provide practical knowledge in addition to theoretical knowledge.
