Great in terms of campus life

Positive remarks are - Living society is good. People are friendly. We get to know people from all over the world. More interactive one becomes. Socially active. Campus life is great. So are the infrastructures. We learn life experiences here and also which helps us to become a better successful person in life. Negative remarks be - Mess Food taste is the only consideration on which they have to work upon. Hostel maintainence to be frequently done. Other than all these the college experience would be great.

Course curriculum can be bit more diverse in the sense that the course which we are taught are bit outdated, not that It won't help us in future but in today's world the technology has moved up so much that these can be considered outdated.

Yes regarding placements I would say it is worth good at it, it has got many companies coming up to hire students from India and abroad also. So job opportunities and placement it is good. Yes the college provides internship and also takes the students for industrial visits, recently we went to SRI HARIKOTA for industrial visit through college. The experience was one of the best feels as we gain knowledge, you have fun with friends and also you get close to your faculties. Which is the best part of it.

So there's two MAIN events in an academic year i.e. technical fest AARUUSH and Cultural fest MILAN, apart from these there are many other events such as SRMMUN, IEEE ASSOCIATION, CSE ASSOCIATIONS and many more.

Feasible if you get shortlisted in the merit list and expensive if you don't. Also depends on what branch you choose and what is the popularity and frequency of students choosing the branch. The Aerospace, CSE, Ece, mechanical branch are both feasible if you get shortlisted on merit list otherwise it can be expensive considering a middle class person.

There are many scholarships such as- SRM founders scholarships. University scholarships scheme. Merit scholarship. Merit-cum-means scholarships (socio economi disdained). Scholarships for minority communities. Scholarships for physically challenged /differently abled. Scholarships for special merit. I am under Merit scholarship.

Extracurricular activities are very good. Labs have the latest technologies and machines equipped. We can make a good use of it. Also SRM is the only college in Chennai which has a fabrication lab named as FABLAB. Also it has sports facilities and equipments at it best and gym also with coach for guiding purpose.

Hostel are good not upto the mark though. Infrastructure is Good but maintainence can be taken care of more effectively which is not there. As of Food consumption is compulsory opting mess food is not an option which makes living in hostel not worth.

Yes the alumni's are very good and helpful. They make frequent visits in the campus and mentor students with their experience and providing opportunities to gain experience on work, providing internships. Providing scholarships, funding, and helping students getting interactive.

Through SRMJEEE entrance exam. So this exam provides a merit basis list in which upto certain rank you can get up a scholarship on your academic fees. And that rank mainly helps the students who aspire to chose their branches in Computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering. Also there are many branches available as an option for those who aspire and desire their goals to be different from others such as aerospace engineering, mechatronics etc. So once you get a rank you have to go to the college for on-campus enrollment to confirm your seat procedure. And to get an ID card.

Faculty are helpful sometimes and sometimes not also. The point is you have to learn everything yourself and they are just there to show you a lighted path helping you, but main input has to given from our side only.
