Remarks

There are many good and bad remarks I wanted to share about our college. Good remarks- you will enjoy staying in our college it's a journey. I enjoyed a lot. Bad remarks - by the way, it's a good remark. You will have to face every exams in a proper way.Our college is strict in attendance. Minimum requirement is 75%.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very good. The exam structure is pretty good , its logical , importance is given to both practical and theoretical understanding. The internals weigh 50% and the university exam weights 50%

Placement Experience

4.5

The on campus placements have been outstanding. Yearly 5000 students graduate from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, and 90% of them get placed in very good companies. There is high demand for C.Sci Engineers. I'm not sure about internship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

To be honest, many of the students including myself find the fee structure to be a tad expensive, considering that books are not provided. Also the bus timings doesn't suit the college timings for the day scholars.

The faculty are pretty good. They have a considerable knowledge about the subject. They could be more lenient though. The lab faculty are well versed with the experiments and stuff. Faculties rarely use presentations, which is very good.

Placement Experience:

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
