College review

There will be high security in the college and a student require permissions to do any activity. Girls in the hostels are only permitted to college and hostel and are not allowed to go inside the campus.

The course curriculum is designed very good. It is designed as per the corresponding standards of 4 years. First year is common for all the students. From second year onwards students go their core branches. Subjects are divided for the 3 years. Each subject is conducted for 100 marks out of which 60 marks are from final sem exams. 40 marks are taken from mids and comprehensive test. 2 mid exams are conducted for 40 marks. Both of them are reduced to 30 and 80% marks of the best and 20% marks from the rest are taken. Comprehensive test is conducted for 30 marks which is reduced to 10 marks. By adding all the marks we get final Internal total marks for 40. A student to pass in a subject should have 16 marks out of 40 and 24 marks out of 60. If both are satisfied then the subject is cleared.

Our college conducts and celebrates many events technical and cultural zone. These events include alumni meet, workshops regarding different subjects and paper & project contest and exhibition etc. All the events are conducted departmental wise for all the students batches wise.

For the students who got less than 5000 rank in EAMCET exam are provided with free education. Students who got less than 10000 rank in EAMCET exam will get fee concession. Other various scholarships like janma bhumi and national scholarships are also available in the college.

Our college has many extracurricular activities which involves cultural, technical and services. Our labs contains huge equipment which cannot be found in many colleges. Our students are also involved in many kinds of sports like football, cricket, basketball, badminton etc. The students are also involved in service schemes like NSS and gamyam.

I have joined in the hostel because I am from a distant place from college.Many students joined in private hostels outside the college.Hostel's infrastructure is very good.The buildings and rooms are very nice.24×7 power and water facility are available.LAN Facility to the students is also available but not wifi.Mess maintainance is also good and clean.

Our college involves the alumni of the institute to provide suggestions to the current students of the year. Alumni are welcomed to the institute to deliver special lectures in their respective fields. This interaction helps students to build their career in proper way.

Firstly I wrote my entrance exam after which I was waiting for the result. Suddenly results came and I got 4179 rank. I was very surprised by seeing the result. After that first counselling dates came and I applied for the colleges. Firstly I kept CSE and next ECE for all the colleges. By mistake I applied for the wrong college because of identical college names and I got admission in the same college. So I went for the second counseling and got admission in GMR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY and before the last date I went to the college and submitted the joining report and all other required certificates.

The faculty in our college are good. Our college (GMRIT) has experienced and competent faculty who can teach a wide range of technical courses. Our faculty have excellent facilities and resources to make the courses more understandable to the students. We have projector facilities so that the topics can be shown more clearly to the students.
