Our course at this particular college gives us complete knowledge about the mathematical field from the point of view of career. Also the course encourages the students to continue their studies further in research as well. There is no burden of the lectures as a whole, so no hectic feeling is experienced.

College Events

Our college is excited to host the annual college sports meet which takes place in the campus itself with so many sports to choose from to play. Competitions are held and scheduled with other colleges and the winning team is awarded with prizes. There are also cultural festivals celebrated on the campus.

Campus Life

Sports meet and the annual cultural events are more in focus by the college. Other extra curricular activities held by the college include some useful and educational seminars and workshops for students. many committees are formed by the students are as well as per the hobbies possessed by different students

Alumni/Alumna

We have some very friendly and supportive seniors who help us through our academic doubts as well as some personal issues as well. They are good to talk to and their experience has indirectly helped us and shaped our events in the present

Admission

The mathematics course was a good option here because it met all the courses I needed to be qualified in the field. The admission is granted to the students who have a decent percentage in their 12th grade examination

We have teachers and professors who have immense knowledge in their respective fields of mastery. They hold doctorates in whatever they have majored in and teach us efficiently in a way to make the whole concept easy for the students.

My Regret of joining St George School of Business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

From 6th sem students get eligible for campus placement, No of companies such as Cipla, infosys,accenture, TCS, wipro, Icici bank have visited our college, provide placements and 90% students get placed in reputed companies. My plan after finishing my Bsc ,i will opting for MSc Biotechnology, then a PhD.I will become a professor.

Life at IISc- Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

It's a good college to join, enjoy, learning and to gain knowledge

The positive thing is the friendly lecturers who'll give a good guidance to the stud3nts future which can't be avoided.
