Best Girls College in Dibrugarh

I did my B.Sc. Statistics from LKD, it was quite a good experience from academics to curricular or cultural activities, I enjoyed a lot. The teachers were also quite helpful to us and the seniors always helped us in studies and apart from that. The college was overall nice and helped us gain pretty good knowledge and be skilled.

The college strictly follows the syllabus mandated by Dibrugarh University. Throughout the course, there are 2 core, 2 electives and 1 additional subjects apart practicals. As B.Sc. is a semester-based course, University examinations are held at semester ends. The college also holds internal examinations which are followed by very strict rules, like the scores of Internal Examinations and total attendance of students affecting the Internal Marks filled by teachers for the main semester-end results.

There is a Career Counselling Cell in our college which takes care of guiding the students well and also provide placement opportunities to students when possible. The Career Counselling Cell have held and helped students participate in events by many renowned companies.

The fees for my B.Sc. Statistics was Rs. 15000 charged on an annual basis. The fee is quite feasible for the offered education and facilities. Also, being an all-girls college, the fee seems feasible. I fee was supposed to be submitted before the commencement of the main examinations.

There are a number of scholarships offered by the government to students belonging to different categories and communities od society like SC/ST/OBC, ex-tea labourers and minority. National and State merit scholarships are also provided to the meritorious students and college always promotes students in taking its advantage to benefit them.

The college promotes many outdoor games and students performing on inter-college or state levels are supported by the college in many ways to help them in their good sportsmanship. Apart that college also has a well equipped laboratory for geography, home Science and also has a good computer lab with Wifi facility. The library is also quite nice and is equipped with multiple study materials and a variety of books, magazines and newspapers for students to help them in their course duration.

The college has two well-maintained hostels for accommodation of students from distant cities or places. The seat allotment is also on a merit basis and the available occupancy of hostels. There are two different hostels as Science and Arts block, they are properly guarded and are pretty safe for girls residing in the hostel. The rooms are also quite spacious and comfortable to live and spend the whole course duration.

Admission to Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls' College, is strictly on a merit basis. At my time of admission to the college, I submitted my application online. When the merit list was out, I was happy as my name appeared on it. Then, I filled the admission form available from college website and attested my required documents with it and visited the college for continuing with my admission. I handed over my documents and they were thoroughly checked and after submitting a portion of fee I was allotted an admission number ensuring my admission for B.Sc. Statistics under this college.

The faculty of the college is quite good, including the professors, assistant professors. Whatever we are taught is clear and understandable, we are also helped my teachers at examination times, as they provide us extra classes and study materials on how to attend the end semester examinations. Regular assignments on different topics are allotted to us for submission with a clear deadline. The teachers are also quite friendly and open in teaching us providing any guidance they can to help us learn better.
