Entrance Preview

SRMEE ,Opted for IT branch because of interest .Counselling branches will be filled in order ECE ,CSE ,Mech, Civil .Admission process is pretty simple they call upon based on SRMEE ranks.

Course Curriculum Overview

College curriculum is choice based where you can choose your electives based on interests and can select the faculty out of choices.Total of 48 subjects are studied in a span of 4 years.

Internships Opportunities

Internships for over a hundred for the final year students. Companies like amazon,Infosys,wipro,my sigma etc .Stipend will be in range 15k - 25k. Internship will last for 6-9 months.

Placement Experience

Placements are the best thing in SRM. 100% placement are real here. Every student will be placed in minimum 3 companies with a minimum percentage of 60.

College Events

College events are fun in SRM. Yearly there are 2 national fests in September and January named Aaruush and Milan. Along with them they are branch wise culturals,technical events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

SRM fee structure is expensive .In 2012 my fees is 1.5 Lac tuition fees for one year and hostel charges will be around 85k .Fees is quite costly in comparison with other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

SRM has a good scholarship where you can avail through SRM entrance exam where you need to have 95% in PCM in +2. Fees waiver up to 75k is available.

Campus Life

Campus life is so good, gender ratio is equal in CS branches, Interesting workshops are held in campus . Ragging is banned and freedom is present there. Sports have national and international teams from SRM college. Competitions are present for students with cash prizes .

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
