Remarks :
I'm sure that once you decide to study in our college, you will love that decision for entire life. I wish if I could go back to my college life. Those were the best three years of my life. Those memories are for a lifetime.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course was three year long divided into six semsters. During the course students have to undergo various evaluation process such as internal exam, external exam, assignments, seminar, project and viva. There was thirty four individual subjects for which internal and external exams were held. Project and viva is compulsory so no student can miss that. Semester exams are conducted as per the guidelines of the university. Valuation is done externally.
Placement Experience :
During the end of fifth semster, an internship program was offered to the selected students of my department. They got an oppurtunity to work with a well knowm nearby private organisation. However there were no more placements or campus interviews conducted in the college.
College Events :
Usually the main regional festivals celebrates in our college are Onam, Christmas and Holi. Inter Department fests are conducted every year on so that students of different departments can interact with each other. Annual College Day, Cultural fest etc are hosted by college union.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure for merit quota is fixed as per the rules and regulations of university. So it is very much affordable to every students. But the fee applicable to management seats would be higher. Donation required for management seats will be different for different courses.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for merit seat is affordable. So you don't need to think about a loan. But the fee applicable for management seat is much bigger. However the college doesn't offer any loan facility. The college management and faculties assosciation give scholarship to students who have excelled in academic performance.
Campus Life :
My department offers a computer lab facility as well as a reaserch center for students. Science labs are available for students studying in science stream. There are N. C. C.and N. S. S. Units performing efficiently in our college. College Volley ball team is one of the best team of the state.
Hostel Facilities :
Actually I was a day scholar but some of my friends were staying in hostel. Hostel facilities are just okayish. If you are staying in the college hostel you have to keep the decorum. Hostel food is good so that we experienced it once or twice.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni assosciation of our college conduct there reunion every year on Diwali day. The annual meet is an occasion to cherish the good old memories about the college. The alumni assosciation is promoting many socially helpful activities.
Admission :
My college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Any student who has completed his/her higher secondary education can apply for degree course through the official website of M. G. University. Usually in the month of May, the portal for admission is opened in official website. Students can apply through this website for merit seats. Admission process are officialy notified through news paper and university website. Students can also opt management seats or community seats.
Faculty :
Majority of the faculties are very supportive, hard working and enthusiastic about their students' academic performance. They give us proper guidance to select a promising career. Moreover they have deep knowledge regarding the subjects they teach.
