JKLU is a very interesting college and the staff is very helpful

There a lot of autonomy and flexibility in what we want to learn at JKLU. Through there is a broad outline of what we have to do and are not left entirely unguided by the profs. With the broad outline in mind, we start to navigate the structure on our own and do need constant permissions/approvals of the faculty. There is freedom of knowledge that we enjoy the most which comes with certain amount of responsibility. The progress of our project is constantly monitored through trackers and delivery of the projects. Such a model of learning helps us to follow our curiosity and to pursue a new interest. The engineering students often sit through classes of design (B.Des) and try to learn what is design thinking and how it can applied while creating a new product. Or the management students sit in our classes to understand the technicalities of the product that they want to launch and build upon as their startup idea.

If you are a student who have a specific company in mind and would really want to get in, then JKLU placement cell will try best to reach out the specified company and get them onboard for the placement drive on campus. All the students at JKLU get placed with the help of the on-campus placement drive, there are hardly any students who try to search for jobs all by themselves. All the time you keep hearing about the slowdown in the Indian economy and how the job market is in sad state. But trust me, when you the number of participating organizations coming to JKLU for hiring it is a moment of great optimism and the students are encouraged to apply for jobs. The highest salary package that was given to five of my seniors was 15 lakhs. It made me believe more in my capacities. It is very important that we keep learning new things and upgrading the knowledge that will help us to scale our professional graph even higher

yes there are lot of festivals and occasions where we students have or own fun. most of these events are organized by the students in the college. we also to other colleges to participate in the intercollege functions to get more exposure and learnings.

I paid the fee pretty less as compared to other students as i was on a merit-based scholarship, i had scored very high marks in class 12 and my graduation which made me eligible for th scholarship at JKLU. i even got to do an internship with the admissions team for finance my pocket money.

as i have already mentioned i got a scholarship from the university otheriwse i could not have studied at reputed university like JKLU

The sports equipment’s are all up to date and the university has brand new multiple sets and the best quality of cricket kits, badminton rackets, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis rackets and balls,etc. seeing the latest and new equipment’s got me interested to play sports ay JKLU. I wanted to play frisbee but there is no one at campus who plays this sport. So, upon my request the admin procured frisbee and the sports coordinator got involved in building a frisbee team from scratch. Now we play frisbee with our team in the designated huge manicured lush green lawn. JKLU has all the sports equipment’s that you would love to play while staying on campus.

The girls’ and boys’ hostel are separate and are situated a good distance from each other. This gives us our own private space from both the genders. Both the hostels have wardens who monitor the functioning of the hostels and the in-out of students. The students are not allowed to enter into the opposite gender’s hostels and even the common areas. Thus, allows us to keep having fun while not worrying about the presence of the opposite gender in our common spaces. I actually such a setting and it makes very comfortable. Otherwise you have always keep censoring your actions and words in the awkward presence of opposite gender.

Yes, seniours could not have been more helpful than this. Jklu has a good network of alumni and we can contact all them through emails.

JKLU conducts entrance exam for its potential students. the admission starts early in February. all those who are interested in getting into JKLU should log unto the website and fill the admission forms as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays.

The faculty at JKLU is helpful. They make sure that we do not sit clueless through the class and help us troubleshoot all our doubts instead of rushing through the syllabus. The profs take extra classes on the weekends so that the concepts which we have not been able to grasp could be explained in detail. This is very beneficial for those of us who take a little extra time to understand concepts and imbibe what the prof is trying to tell us. If not for these extra classes (initiative taken by the faculty), I would have flunked in my exams. But the profs do a lot hand holding for those who need a little support and have the desire to improve in their academic life. Most of the faculty have shared their personal contact number with us, so whenever we have some urgent doubt that we want to be solved; we simply call up our profs and bail us out of the situation.
