My college is very good. Teachers are also very helpful. But there is no job in West Bengal. So there is no placement or internship. I love my college. College background is also very good. It is very nice.

No our college don't provide internship. This is the worst side of our college. There is no scholarship or stipend for our college students. There is no job opportunities. Overall there is no accommodation for job.

Independence day, Republic day, Rabindra jayanti, 23january, Saraswati pujo, Teachers day, Freshers, Hockey tournament, Sports day, Many events are held in our college. We enjoy very much. our college is also known as rajbari

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are little bit expensive for us. I lost my father in class 8. My mother is only earning member in our family. I have a brother also. I need money very eagerly. Our economy conditions is very poor .

Our college has no scholarship or loan. So the study is very hard to do. I want a job. Please give me a scholarship. I love my family. I want to be a helping hand for my family. Please give me some money for study.

Extracurricular activities are very good. Recitation, singing also very good. Labs are useful for practical. I love my lab. Sports in our college is very important. Physical education is a very important subject in our college. We do NCC Also

Alumni/Alumna

No. Our college alumni don't help us. Even we don't know them. But our seniors are very good and helpful. They help us on practical or theory both. They help us with love and care. They are also very intelligent.

Admission

I admit in this college by merit list. At first I filled form online, then counseling was held. Then I admitted in the college in 2018. I am doing bsc course. The course is for 3years My subject is physics. I lost my father in class 8. My mother is very hardworking. Plz give me a scholarship.

Faculty

Very good. But sometimes they behave rude with us otherwise they are very helpful. Our principal is very good. She is very helpful. Se help us with love and care. Our college is autonomous. Facilities are very good

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

The college offers good placements for economis. Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements and there is a cell dedicated to placements. Many students do not opt for placements and go for higher studies but many students who opt for it, get placed with decent packages. Many well-known companies visit the campus as well. Yes, in our college it takes an internal exam & that's very tough.

The admission process was in online admission. I took admission online. The percentage of this course is listed online. From this, we took that admission. In online from college they listed all the criteria. So from that list, we checked out all these things. Our college is a temple to us. Reservation benefits are available also for admission.
