FIST poomala; The heaven.

All the remarks about the college is positive. But only few negative remarks are there. That is ; there is no public transportation services in the college road. And Cell phone signal is weak in the collge area. Because the college is situvated on top of the hill side.

It is KTU university. A state government university of kerala state. The engineering field is good. But university is too horrible. There is no regular valuation. And Some yearout problems. The exam structure is an important one in KTU university. It needs 45% marks to pass in subject. The course have 8 semester. It includes 46 subjects and 18 labs.

There is placement and Job opportunities are in the college. And they conducted many study tours in abroad. The college also give internship facilities and other programs in reputed instituitions and companies.

The main program in the college is Union inauguration and arts day programs. There is a wonderful program named 'Jwala 2019' is have an important role in college events. Focus cricket leauge and focus football league is also an important program.

The fee structure of the college is feasible. I'm a merit seated student and my fee structure is 50000 per year. And the college management gives some Financial help for the students which are poor in family.

There is some scholarships for students which shows high marks and cgpa in semester examinations. and the college management gives there own loan facilities for students with low interest. There is a minority scholarships are there.

NSS (National service scheme) is the one of the major extra activities in the college. There is no political parties in the campus. The election is based on year and branch. There are 6 labs and 12 workshops are in the college. The cricket and football are the major sports conducted in the college.

I'm a daily scholar. But sometimes a choose hostel or rental house majorly in examination times. The hostel of the college is near hill view point. And the view from the college hostel is very beautiful.

Seniors give us special advice and technics for the university examination and the future life. The career of the seniors give us motivation. There is 2 university batches are in the college. Calicut university and KTU university. We get both advices from seniors.

I am not interested in engineering field. But i was written an entrance exam and passed. I would have liked to join in merchant navy field. And passed Indian maritime university entrance examination. But i didn't have shipping sponsorship. It is risk to join Merchant navy course without sponsorship. So left the course. My parents was worried about my future course. And i reached the conclusion; that is, Join Merchant navy course only after the Engineering Course. It was the time for engineering allotment. And i was chosen Mechanical Engineering.And joined a College named as FIST Poomala.

The faculties are more friendly than other colleges. In some times i have only below attendence, Because of my faculties kind heart, make it as 75. There is no restrictions in the campus. The faculties give all freedom in the campus
