Gurukul in Gunupur

Yup my college was a Gurukul in gunupur. I am really proud of my college. We were perhaps perfect match, simple decicated and disciplined, no show off, no extravenenza, study study and study which sometimes becomes difficult to spare time for some other things may be it wasy fault.

Education system is very good, extensive but a bit school system, it's far from city, so less distraction but it also means a difficult communication system. Attendence is compulsory, they enjoy detaining students. The best part of the college is the library.

They provide ample opportunity for placement. TATA consultancy services was one of the biggest recruiter along with Tech Mahindra. Core companies also organised campus recruitment drive in the college.

Science and tech expo. It is an annual tech fest organised by the whole college irrespective of the branch. Besides this there were seperate annual tech fest for each branches. Many national level conferences and seminars were regularly organised. Industry leader were invited for talks.

It was quite affordable. I had to pay 68000 per annum tuition fee and 60000 mess and hostel free per year which includes bus, wifi and exam fee. It being in outskirts of town the overall expense was negligible.

I am not aware about the scholarship by the college itself as the fee was quite low but it did provide tuition fee waiver to 15 % studey as decided by Government of Odisha as well as it had a scholarship cell which used to help students for various scholarships programs by Government of Odisha and India.

Hostel infrastructure was quite good, infact very good part from two 1st year hostels. Large play ground, Gymnasium, swimming pool student center were available 24x7. Hostels were clean and green, design of hostel was unique.

The college has extensive network of alumni working on diverse fields. Many of tgem visit the college and provide necessary guidance to the fellow juniors. They bring the much needed external exposure to the campus.

OJEE ( ODISHA joint entrance exam), Jee mains then have to apply separately for the counselling process, college will be awardy based on choice as well as your rank amongst the candidates applied for the counselling.

Faculty were highly educated, helpful and generally quite elaborative. They were pressurized by management to take extra classes to make up for syllabus if they lagged so sometimes sundays used to skip for both studey and teachers.
