Remarks

It’s in a secluded area of the district and therefore is a very ideal environment for education. There is no traffic and no noisy vehicle around the campus. It is quite and peaceful with no disturbances of any sort. But the only drawback is that the campus is slightly small.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was structured thoroughly and is quite heavy. There were around 15-17 books to study per semester. There are three exams per semester. Two formative assessments and one summative assessment.

Placement Experience

3.5

There was no internship for my course back then. Although there was a placement cell and four courses like BBMCA, BCA etc. there were campus interviews and many of them had the opportunities to get jobs in WIPRO, DELL etc.

College Events

5

There were so many departmental and inter departmental events in the college. Workshops and seminars were held almost every week. There were awareness programs and health camps. Competitions were also conducted by various departments on various areas.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For government aided courses, tuition fees are free however for self financed courses, the fees are reasonably priced. Even within a course, people who comes first are admitted under the government aid and the people who come later are admitted under self finance

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn’t avail any loan nor do I know of one. However there were some scholarships provided for meritorious students with outstanding performances. These scholarships were given annually and some of them were sponsored by the professors themselves.

Campus Life

5

There wasn’t much extracurricular activities in the school however there might be some now. Back then there was just a basket ball court and some NCC drills. No sports of any kind. There were lab facilities for all the important science subjects. Also there were computer labs and a language lab.

Hostel Facilities

5

There were hostel factories available for both men and women. For those who aren’t adaptable to South Indian food, the wardens were kind enough to issue food items to be taken and cooked inside their own rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

I am not aware of any alumni association and if there is, I’m sure I’d be getting information and I am an alumnus. No facebook page nor WhatsApp group so far. If there is one, I’m sure it’ll be helpful for all the past pupils of the college.

Admission

There were help desks of different departments and the teachers’ in-charged helped me through the processes. Once the registration was over, I was ushered to the principal’s office for interview and two days after that, I was called for admission.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are well qualified however I feel they need sabbatical. They were still using the same notes they used 10 years ago. Their knowledge needs to be updated and so are their skills in handling children of the modern classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures. We also have inter-disciplinary courses.
