Senthamarai College of Arts & Science

The course curriculum is developed to prepare students to deliver 100% university exam results. It also inculcates personality development and communication classes. Bachelor courses in the college have a duration of 3 years while the master level courses have a 2-year time period.

The Senthamarai College of Arts & Science offers 100% placement, internships, campus interviews and part-time jobs to all its students. As per the 2013-16 college report, almost 400 students have been placed by the college. The average remuneration that graduates and postgraduates from this college are making after placement is between INR 140,000 p.a. to INR 180,000 p.a. Also, as per the same report, almost 50 students have been selected for higher studies.

The students from this college participate in events like Kalari competition, & state, and national-level presentation seminars. The college also has its own running, and sports meet every year. To date, seven students from this college have also achieved university-level ranks between the 3rd and 10th.

The college presently has a “Senthamarai Alumni Association” that binds the alumni with the college’s growth, activities and events. The college calls upon the alumni by holding events like Alumni Day, conferences, seminars, lectures and meetings. It also calls upon the present faculty, staff, and students. This helps to broaden the placement opportunities of students or students who have just graduated from college.

Admission in Senthamarai College of Arts & Science can either be done online or offline. For offline purposes, the college offers admissions through interview with the principle or on the based on scholarship. On the other hand, online admission can be done by submitting the documents. I personally, got admitted into BA. English course by visiting the college and submitting my documents. As such, there is no test taken for admission.

The college faculty consists of male and female faculty members within the age group of 24 to 50. All members hold the designation of “Assistant Professor” at the college. These members hold an MP. Ed, M. Phil, M. Com, Ph.D., MBA, MA, NET, MCA, M.E., SLET or MCA degree in their field. The English department of the college has achieved 5 university ranks. The English department faculty encourages students to participate in national and state-level presentations.
