Remarks

It performs good in theoretical aspect, but lacks in campus placement records. Once a shining star of Eastern UP, It is quickly deteriorating primarily due to poor managerial decision like conducting its own examination. It has reduced it to a local Gorakhpur college and it no more attracts talent from pan state.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course Curriculum is not updated as per today's industrial needs. For example, I am a mechanical engineer and I studied about Diesel and Petrol engines a lot. But the trending topics like CNG engine or Electric vehicles are not in course. On this point, MMMUT scores really good. It is an autonomous university, hence it conducts it's examination on its own. However there is no delay or any mismanagement. Each semester is divided into 3 Monthly examination, following national standards. There is complete transparency in Examination process. However, it needs to be upgraded to focus more on practical knowledge & adopt a continuous evaluation approach.

Placement Experience

1

It is located in Gorakhpur. The connectivity is not so good & hence the place records are very poor. In my batch that is 2013-17, not a single company came for Mechanical engineers. So if you are looking for campus placement, MMMUT is a definite NO. No, MMMUT doesn't provide any kind of internship to its graduation students

College Events

4

During each Semester, Winter and Summer, an official event is organised which invites talent from all Eastern Uttar Pradesh.Apart from these two, each branch has their own events, which are open to all for participation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In last few years, university has seen quantum jumps in fee structure. Previously it had lowest fees among other government engineering colleges, but not it is exceeding 1 lakh rupees per annum. So we can term it above average.

Fees and Financial Aid

Alumni association provides scholarship to few meritorious students, but college funded scholarship never has benefited even 10 students from a batch of 400 students. However, state government comes to rescue and reimburse all the tution fee, if someone is economically weak.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are below average, many machines are just show piece. They need some serious investment to start running. University focuses more on theory than practical.Sports is celebrated only on Sports day and no other motivation is provided.

Hostel Facilities

4

I didn't opt for hostel. But Infrastructure of Hostel, especially newly build ones, is really good. Food is just average MMMUT also offers a Day Scholars' Club for the students who are not histelers.

Alumni/Alumna

Here MMMUT stands taller than many prestigious colleges too. Malviyan Alumni Association (MAA) is definitely one of the most active alumni association in country. They continuosly provide funds and share their experiences during events. There are many scholarship programs running too. Recently they generated 25 Lacs to help a Malviya in health emergency.

Admission

I appeared in State Engineering Examination called UPSEEE, 2013 (Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Examination). However since 2014, when College got the status of 'University', it is conducting its own entrance examination. The application form comes around December-January, and exam is conducted in June. Then on the basis of number scored, merit list is prepared and one can secure seat. Being a government university, the admission process is completely fair and there is absolutely zero scope of corruption or donation system.

Faculty

2

Poor. I can write a lot on this subject, but I think the word 'POOR' is sufficient. The cream of university, that is the senior facultes have retired and the new joinees are certainly not capable to fill their shoe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BTech because I wanted to explore how real world works with technology and to know the insights of technology. The college mostly provides theoretical knowledge and not the practical knowledge refraining us from more exposure to real world problems. If the course is shifted from theoretical to practical it'll be really helpful. Two exams are conducted per semester, and the difficulty level is moderate.

Our curriculum gets better from this year as so many changes occur due to college become autonomous Like a better coding platform bought by college for student i.e. CODETANTRA and some subjects of 2nd year introduced in the 1st year like COLD and DSTL , Promoting students to participate in Hackathon by mailing to the students about each and every big or small hackathon . Giving them free attendance for that thing . The frequency of exams are about 20 days .
