IIT BHU, Varanasi - A complete college.

Well the only negative remark about this college is the public interaction or the public inside the college. This college is in the BHU and it's open to all, so there's been sometimes that you may feel like this is a normal colony/society where people live. Though the security is pretty good but still this is the only backpoint in out college.

The course curriculum is great. In the first year all the students study almost the same subjects. Then in coming to the 2nd year they tend towards learning their department's subjects. And the main part of this course curriculum is that after 2nd year all the students get the chance to study the subjects of other departments as well along with some other Human Value subjects.

The placements scenarios has been escalating year by year. Last year all the students of circuital branches got placed easily. Our college has a well established reputation among many companies. They always try to pick as many as students from here with them. Yes, our college does provide an internship to students. Right now the internship process is going on so that's why I haven't got any internship yet. But by the last year records, students got a stipend as high as 2 lacs per month.

Our college primarily celebrates three events namely - Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha KASHIYATRA is a cultural based fest organised in the month of January every year. This fest goes on for 3 days straight. Different other events are organised in this fest. Every day the events are ended with a pro night or a DJ night in which different famous celebrities performs. TECHNEX is the technical fest which is organised in the month of February over a period of three days too. In this fest different colleges participate in the techno events like Robowars, etc. SPARDHA is the sports fest of our college, organised in the month of October over a period of three days. This is the largest sports fest in the North India region. Over 2000 participants came every year to play different sports.

The fee structure is quite feasible. As it is an IIT so there's been different categories based on the student's parent's annual income. And the college also provides many scholarships to students based on both cast and merit.

Our college has a specific branch of the National Bank - State Bank of India. This bank easily provides loan to almost all students with a much lower interests rate than the outside branches or banks as well. Though our college has a well reputation around the country, many scholarships are available for students. The stide students just have to met the criteria of it and they can easily avail the scholarship.

Our college is well knows for it's extra co-curricular activities. Many students are engaged in different extracurricular activities like Media, Design, Fine Arts, Sports, etc. And our college is also well known for nurturing out the best players among different sports. Our college performs excellent in every other sports fest they go.

In this college, everyone lives in the hostel itself. There are a total of 17 hostels, out of which 15 hostels for boys and the remaining 2 of girls. As this college is 100 years old, so are some of the hostels are pretty old too. But most of the hostels are new and the infrastructure of them are pretty impressive.

As our college is 100 years old, this means we have a vast network of alumni base. Our alumni network is very strong. There are numerant famous personalities that have been passed out from our college and they always have a strong connection with us. They always seek to help us progress and develop. The senior students are very helpful to their junior ones. There's been never a case when the junior came out unsatisfied when he/she went to the senior student to know something.

Well this college is a college of national importance and also an IIT. So, I got admission in my college after clearing the JEE-Advanced examination. I got a decent rank to get admission in this college.

The faculty in our college are excellent. They have many years of experience and exactly know their students. They know what the students want to learn, how to learn. They all have a reputated background education. They always guides us to a better pathway.
