My college world

The college is a very good place for learning as pressure of study would not bother us, as well as with the well equipped laboratory and staffing could be proposed as a institute where it is worth joining.

My course is on Mechanical Engineering. The Curriculum seems to be ok. Not as conjusted or flimsy. The examination pattern would change yearly or once in two years. Exams are considered based upon internals abd externals. 50% internals as well as 50% externals. Overall a person should archieve 50% to clear exam.

Placement activities are quite good for the branches of computer science engineering and electronics and communication engineering. Placement opportunities for Mechanical are not as high as those two. College does not provide any interns but do intimate if any companies visit and offer intern.

There are major events that are celebrated in our college such as. Aarush : This is a technical fest held in the odd semester. Milan : This is a cultural fest held in the even semester. The well known fest in india. Apart from these fests events are helds in between weeks as well as convocation for every branch.

Fee structure is quite high in srm institute of science and Technology. As it is a deemed to be university. There would be job opportunities. There would be scholarships for those students who perform well in academics as well as sports.

The college does offer scholarships to those students who are have income shortage and would required you to submit some documents to be verified. If your cgpa is above 9 then you could be a 50% weiver of the college fee.

Labs in the institute are very well equipped and are invested upon research with the incharge facilities. The sports activities are also good here as grounds are equipped to play. Football, Cricket, Basketball and so on. Also with internal sports competitions.

I do reside here in hostel. The hostel fee is seperated for ac and non ac. If aspiring for ac rooms then you would have to pay more than usual or else the general fare is around 1 lakh for accommodation for 1 year.

Senior are helpful here. They do help us in various kinds of activities and support us when we face difficulties. It does appeal to be a friendly environment. As ragging us a strict ban in the institute, seniors behave well with the juniors.

Entrance exam needs to be Cleared along with pcm percentage of 60%. The entrance exam would be held in the month of march or april. The examination registration will start 5 month prior to the date of the examination.

The faculty seems to be good. Each of them have good communication skills and are working on various research and projects. The Faculties could be selected by the students for the particular course proposed to them.
