My College experience

I took B.Com A/F (Accounting & Finance) in which I had other thoughts on this course. But this was similar to B.Com General. There were 6 semesters split in 3 years with 2 semesters Odd and Even semesters. Each semester has 2 monthly exam, 1 model exam and one Semester exam.

Placement drive is one of the poorest in our college. Only very few companies relating to Commerce came for campus interview out of which only 10-20 students were placed. Other companies were just BPO companies, which didn't had any scope.

When I joined the infrastructure was not that well, so it was inexpensive. But now after all the constructions and lots of improvements now the fees has been doubled. And maintenance of such new buildings are very good.

Scholarship is available, but I haven't seen anyone availing Scholarship. Scholarships available are ST/SC, Army men, Excellence in academics scholarship which are certain amount off from the college fees for both Day/Evening shifts.

Our college is one of the top cricket team in India. Ravichandran Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik, Washington Sundar are few who trained in our campus. Divison wise tournaments are conducted in our college each year. Other than Cricket team all athletic games are trained by professionals in our college.

I won't go for hostel as Hostel is terrible. Only boys hostel is available. Our college is good only for day scholars. No separate restrooms and bathroom is open outdoors. Open Bathroom is beside the main building where 1000's of students are present. I can say, hostelites can take a PG instead of hostel.

I didn't see any aluminis in our college. If present also they might not be helpful. Seniors were friendly and helpful going through the first year of the college. I got excellent friendship among the seniors, who helped me a lot.

Admission was easy, as I was a CBSE student I got into the college easily. They just asked for the marksheets and other related documents. Payment of fees was only through Demand Draft. After paying the fees I was alloted with a seat in the college.

Most of the faculties were good. Though some are not at par with the institution, most of the faculties were good. But most of them are not updated with latest amendments. So it was difficult to shine in the outer world.
