Choosing between VNIT Nagpur for Electrical and NIT Surathkal for Chemical really depends on your career goals. I’m at VNIT Nagpur studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and I find that the curriculum is decent, though some courses feel outdated.

Placements are relatively good; last year, the highest package offered was 64 LPA and the average was around 9-10 LPA. The internship opportunities are decent too, but you need to maintain a good CGPA to be eligible.

The campus life is vibrant with plenty of clubs and activities. If you’re inclined towards Electrical, VNIT would be a solid choice.

If you're not sure whether you're into chemical or electrical engineering, it's tough to pick between VNIT Nagpur and NIT Surathkal. You seem quite articulate for someone who's probably around 20, but deciding on a specific field might be hard without first having a broad understanding, maybe through a general BSc in physics. Once you've got that foundation, choosing a specialty could be easier.

VNIT Nagpur could be a great choice. The electrical department there is strong, with knowledgeable professors and a great study atmosphere. The campus has impressive infrastructure.

Many top companies hire from here, so job opportunities are good. Also, VNIT Nagpur has some nice campus views.

I chose Chemical Engineering at VNIT Nagpur because I heard it has good placement opportunities. The curriculum is pretty extensive, but some aspects feel outdated. The average package for Chemical Engineering is around 9-10 LPA, with the highest going up to 19 LPA this year. Internships can be tough to get, as you need to have a decent CGPA. The campus life is lively with lots of events, but the academic pressure can be high. If you're passionate about Chemical Engineering and want a decent college experience, VNIT is a good pick.
