Life at TAPMI, especially in the MBA program, is quite rigorous. The curriculum is demanding, with multiple subjects and projects each trimester. It’s a bit overwhelming at times, but it definitely prepares you for the corporate world. The faculty is really supportive and approachable, which helps when you're struggling with the workload. Plus, the placement record is impressive, with 100% placements and packages going up to 25 LPA. Overall, while it can be stressful, the environment is conducive to growth and learning.

When you first step onto the TAPMI campus, you'll be amazed at how beautiful it is. Located on 44 acres of rolling hills and lush greenery, the place might make you feel like you're at a fancy resort instead of one of India's top business schools. You'll probably spend your first day just exploring and soaking it all in.

The hostels are top-notch, with everything you need. Imagine waking up to the sound of birds singing and falling asleep while gazing at stars outside your window. And don't forget those breathtaking sunsets you can enjoy right from your room.

However, life at TAPMI isn't just a walk in the park. One of the first things you'll notice is "the slope." Love it or hate it, you'll find it becomes a part of your daily routine, whether you're racing to class or heading to the library. During the monsoon season, the slope can be a bit tricky to navigate, but that's what umbrellas are for. You'll get used to it, and hey, it's great for building leg strength.

After settling in with a laid-back orientation week, the real hustle begins. You'll dive into case studies, group projects, and committee selections, all while polishing up your CV. It's a lot to handle, but you'll learn to manage it and make some great friends along the way.

Your academic journey kicks off with TAPMI's structured and rigorous teaching methods, guided by experienced faculty, many with PhDs from top institutes. Plus, you'll have access to impressive recruiters who visit campus, offering you a chance to put your learning into practice and earn a good salary.

You'll be surrounded by some of the brightest minds, all of whom could have easily been in the top 10 B-schools in India. This will push you to work harder and learn from your peers through discussions and competitions. Over time, you'll see just how much this experience is shaping you for the better.

Outside of classes, you might find yourself in the state-of-the-art Bloomberg lab, equipped with 16 terminals, giving you a feel of real-life trading, much like in "The Wolf of Wall Street." It's a rare facility that only a few top B-schools in India offer, making it a must-experience for finance enthusiasts.

TAPMI also provides chances to deal with real investments through the NSE/BSE via SMIC and Samnidhy, the latter being the only legally registered student-managed investment fund in India.

When you're not hitting the books, enjoy the resort-like campus by taking hikes, or visit nearby waterfalls and beaches. Relax with friends under the trees, or enjoy a hot cup of tea or Maggi at the night canteen. Whether you prefer hitting the gym or playing basketball, there are plenty of ways to unwind before tackling your next challenge.

Being a student at TAPMI Manipal is quite a challenge!

Finding time to sleep is tough because the campus really comes alive at night. Waking up at 8 am after a night full of partying, after-parties, deep talks, late-night strolls, and gaming is a real struggle.

Getting to class on time isn't easy. Deciding where to eat or what to drink for the night can be a bit of a dilemma. Picking which beach or which part of the Western Ghats to explore is not simple either.

Even when you're having fun and maybe a bit tipsy, you don't want to miss any campus events. Staying single is another hurdle. Getting your groupmates together for assignments and turning them in on time is a task.

There are so many struggles, but they all add to the unique TAPMI experience!

My journey in the MBA program at TAPMI has been intense but fulfilling. Classes are well-structured, and the teachers are highly qualified, most of them holding PhDs. The workload can be heavy, especially with the number of subjects and projects, but it’s manageable if you stay organized.

The placements are fantastic, with companies like ITC and Deloitte visiting for recruitment, and the highest package can reach up to 25 lakh. The campus life is engaging with lots of clubs and events, making it a well-rounded experience despite the challenges.

Students at TAPMI Manipal generally fall into two categories. The first group is made up of those who have a clear idea of their goals but just miss achieving them, like not getting into IIMs or not passing the CA exams. These students often feel frustrated and put a lot of pressure on themselves to succeed. The second group consists of students who aren't really sure about their strengths or weaknesses. They sort of ended up here by chance and are more inclined to enjoy student life. However, the heavy workload often leaves them feeling overwhelmed too.

So, TAPMI can feel like a place filled with frustration, with students seeking outlets through random acts of rebellion, casual relationships, and frequent parties, often without finding real happiness. Still, there are plenty of engaging events like Inceptum, Brandscan, and Defi to participate in.

You might think things will get better after placements, but often, the first group still feels unfulfilled with their job offers, and the second group remains unsure of their direction. Over time, though, you start to gain more clarity. Students often band together to challenge the administration, form genuine friendships or relationships, get tired of partying, and begin exploring the area around Manipal, join the gym, and more.

Ultimately, you leave with some great memories, an open mindset, and usually a decent job. You may not figure everything out, but you do find a good starting point. The experiences and connections made at TAPMI help you on your path, and thinking back on your time there usually brings a smile.
