How are the hostels at IMT Ghaziabad?

The Hostels were AC equipped in the first year and were on a sharing basis. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The mess had a fixed menu serving brekfast, lunch and dinner and were generally hygenic and tasteful.

No boys are not allowed to enter girls hostel it changes according to batch size. K block is considered to be best hostel and it is only for boys and seniors. There is option of single and double occupancy only and single occupancy is given to students suffering from medical issues. hostel accocation takes place on random basis . No hostel timings yes ffod is included no seperate canteen food quality is good yes hostels are guarded you don't get option to choose unless you have medical reason. except cooler and mattress everything else is provided. yes there is gym area, tt room and common area where there is canteen. there are common washrooms only. approx 30 students share a single washroom containing 4-5 spaces.

The girls and boys hostels are separate buildings. Girls are allowed to enter boys hostels but not vice versa. The total number of boys and girls hostel buildings are 5 each. Hostel allocation takes place on a random basis by the student council and the administration. Separate breakdown of the hostel fees isn’t available as we’re not allowed to choose single or double occupancy rooms, they’re just randomly allocated and there is no triple sharing rooms. The hostel timings/college timings are from 6 am to 10 pm. Students are not allowed to leave college post 10 pm. However, we can freely roam around in and out of our hostels any time of the day with no restrictions but going in and out of the campus area is restricted. Yes food is included in hostel fees but I’m unable to find the specific breakdown. Yes there is one separate cafeteria and a Nescafé area in campus and students prefer the cafeteria more these days. The food quality is better compared to some other bschools and we get a menu every 2 weeks from the Mess Committee of the college. Yes the hostels are guarded. There are 1-2 guards present in the hostel building at all times and there have thankfully been no security threats at all.I have a sharing room. We don’t get to choose if we want sharing or non sharing room. There are ACs in every room, water cooler is there on every other floor, geysers are there in washrooms on every floor, almirah, study table, bed, chair but mattresses and other items we carry on our own. We don’t have a recreation room. The washrooms are not attached to the rooms. We have common washrooms and they’re cleaned once everyday. About 20-25 people share these common washrooms on a single floor.

K block is the best as it is huge and takes up major chunk of boys in the 2nd year. 3. Hostel allocation is decided by the student council and the algorithm followed is not disclosed. The preferences are taken into consideration as per availability. 4. Hostel fees is not mentioned explicitly and it is included in the total fees. There is no difference in the fees for single or double occupancy rooms. 5. There are no hostel timings. Only that students can not leave the campus post 10 PM and could not enter the campus post 11 PM. Students are not allowed to party or play loud music post 11PM and the administration is very strict with this rule. 6. Food is included in the total fees. 7. We have common mess for all the hostels. Apart from that we have one 20 hr canteen which serves all of the campus. 8. Food quality is OK. Food menu is looked upon by the mess committee and they try to keep changing the menu frequently. 9. Yes the hostels are guarded. 2 guards per hostel. No major security threat. 1. There are single and double sharing rooms with common washrooms. I chose double sharing as I don't like being alone and having a roommate in different circumstances. 2. AC, Geyser, Wifi, Almirah, Study Table, Beds, Mattress are provided. Quality is good. 3. There is a single common room in K block for all hostels where TT table, carrom etc. is there along with some seating area. 4. Washrooms are common. Cleaned everyday. 5. Depends hostel to hostel. I general we have 20 students sharing the 1 common washroom which has 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms .

Student Council is responsible for Hostel allocation and it's a very smooth process. Students are not allowed to leave the campus post 10 PM and enter post 11 PM. Fooding is included in fees and food is at sub par level. Hostels are well guarded so no issue related to safety. Menu changes monthly.Double sharing room is there inhistels. AC, geysers, wifi, almirahs, study table, chairs and beds are provided by the college itself. Also other things like mattress and curtains are available at the time of shifting. The gym is really great in the hostel. Washrooms are common not attached (also not that clean to be honest). 16 students share two WC, and showers.
