Before I begin, let me clear the misconception that the 3-year MTech program is inferior in quality to the 2-year MTech program. Because of this false assumption, the higher ranking MTech students tend to choose the 2-year MTech programs instead of the 3-year program.

- In reality, the credibility of the degree you are awarded and the credits requirement of both programs are equal.
Differences
- The difference is that you will have to invest more time in your RA (research assistantship) duties. 3 year MTech is funded from research projects so you will be working on research projects quite early. 3 years are more than enough to get publications with the right determination and hard work. This is extremely beneficial for higher studies as well as making the most out of your skills.
Both IIT Hyderabad and IIT Bombay offer 3-year MTech programs. There may be some other IITs as well offering similar programs.
Between BITS and IIT Hyderabad, I think the latter is a better option from a research point of view. Additionally, IIT Hyderabad also has a locational advantage, better connectivity, industry, expert interactions, etc.
Which one is better for the long term: an MBA from IIM Shillong, IIM Trichy or SJMSoM IIT B?
IIT B is particularly known for its specialization in Operations. Although it has a decent specialization in other domains like Marketing and IT as well, it is for Operations that people usually choose it. Some consider IIM Shillong or Trichy a better option for Finance. But I personally think that SJMSom IIT B is overall a better choice.
I cannot choose one between IIM Trichy and Shillong as both are at an equal level at this point. Despite being new, Trichy has managed to be in the league of Shillong. It has been growing at a fast pace and may even surpass IIM Shillong in the near future.
So if I am to rank the above options it has to be
SJMSom>IIM Shillong=IIM Trichy
What should I choose, a dual degree MSc program in BITS Hyderabad or some branch in NIT Raipur, or CSE in NIT Puducherry?
Choose BITS Hyderabad over NIT Raipur or NIT Puducherry. Here are some of the reasons for choosing this institute:

You might think that going for a dual degree is better as IT companies only prefer CSE graduates. But nowadays this notion has changed as with big data and analytics creating a boom, more and more such companies visiting campuses and hiring people from all branches.
Therefore it is suggested that you go for BITS Hyderabad, where you will grow and learn in a much more competitive environment. Your vision will be broadened.
Where should I go, PDPU Electrical or LNMIIT Electronics and communication?
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) is one of the renowned private universities located in Gandhinagar. PDPU operates through four schools namely the School of petroleum engineering, the School of petroleum technology, the School of Technology, and the School of liberal studies. Which college is better for a BDes course (visual communication), Nirma University or Srishti School of Design?

As per the admission rules, PTU colleges cannot admit students until the online admission is completed. Only the remaining are given admission directly. Usually, students don’t apply online. If you are adamant about PTU, go only to the PTU main campus or Guru Nanak Engg College Ludhiana.
