CSE will be a better choice than Telecommunication Engineering because there is a constant demand for computer engineers in today’s rapidly growing corporate industry. CSE is the most in demand engineering course. Due to its scope and popularity it is better to choose CSE for moving your career ahead. But students interested in pursuing Telecommunication Engineering can always go for that.
Should I prefer an IT in the IIIT Allahabad or CSE in the MNIT Jaipur having a rank of 5k?
You should prefer IT at IIIT Allahabad. It has a great IT culture. You will have unlimited opportunities to develop skills in coding, app development, web development, game development, etc. The course structure includes core IT subjects from the first year itself. The coding culture on campus is excellent. Students of IIIT Allahabad dominate popular coding forums such as ACM-ICPC, Codechef, and Spoj.
The recent highlights of IIIT Allahabad show the average and highest CTC to be INR 21.85 LPA and INR 61.65 LPA.
Which of the two should I choose: IIT Dharwad EE or NITK Surathkal CSE?
Rather than choosing between institutes, choose the branch you are inclined towards. Determining your future prospects is an indispensable factor when choosing your college. You need to find out what you are willing to do after getting your degree; pursuing higher studies or getting employed.
Had I been in your place, I would have chosen NIT Surathkal because of the branch CSE you are getting. In this high-tech era, CSE is in full bloom and is one of the most coveted branches. Someone who is getting CSE at an NIT should never give that chance up for any other branch that too at a new IIT.
Here is why one should go for NIT Surathkal
- NIT Surathkal fairs are better than IIT Dhanwad in terms of faculty, infrastructure, and placements.
- NIT Surathkal has a stunning campus with its own private beach.
- IIT Dhanwad does not even have half the companies that visit NITK Surathkal for placements.
- NITK Surathkal is a well-established institute often compared to the IITs while IIT Dhanwad is yet to make its mark.
The following points prove enough that NITK Surathkal CSE is better than IIT Dhanbad EE. In fact, I would have chosen IIT Dhanwad CSE over electrical or other core branches at old IITs. however, my answer is not directed towards someone who has a particular interest in Electrical, for them IIT EE is the best.
Which one should I choose between IIT Madras DoMS and IIM Udaipur for an MBA?
My choice will forever be IIM Udaipur solely because of the IIM tag. I know people will criticize me for this mindset but one cannot ignore the IIM brand name. Moreover IIT is a top technical institute but it’s a fact that its Management Department is not at par with the top B Schools.
- IIM Udaipur curriculum is way more rigorous and structured than that of IIT Madras.
- The 2-year flagship courses offered by IIMs just does not groom you academically but mentally also. It makes you ready to step into the real corporate world.
- The curriculum at IIMs are very demanding and require a lot of determination, hard work and sacrifices on the part of students. This disciplines them and also grooms their personality.
- The quality of peer learning is excellent at IIMs as you interact with masterminds from various backgrounds and fields.
Overall I feel curriculum-wise IIM has more to offer than an IIT simple because of the fact that it specializes in the field.
Which is best between NMIMS Hyderabad and JAGSOM (IFIM Bangalore) for an MBA in marketing?
Indian business schools NMIMS Hyderabad and JAGSOM (IFIM Bangalore) offer top marketing MBA programs. Your best option depends on your interests, professional ambitions, and other considerations. Consider these variables before choosing:
- Reputation and Rankings: Both schools are respected in the industry and rank among India's top B-schools. NIRF placed JAGSOM 43rd in 2021 and NMIMS Hyderabad 34th in 2020.
- Curriculum: MBA Marketing at both schools is updated and thorough. However, the program's academic structure and electives must match your interests.
- Faculty: Both schools have experienced academics and industry specialists. Check their profiles to discover if their specialties match yours.

Among IIM Ranchi's PGD HRM and XAHR's MBA-HRM, which is a better programme?
Both programs have their own merits and demerits. Yet I am here to talk about XAHR’s MBA-HRM only. I will further list down some points in favor of my inclination toward this program particularly.

IIITM Gwalior is a fully IT-oriented institute and ranks 100 among India’s top engineering colleges as per NIRF 2020 ranking. This institute provides 90% placement to its students in top-notch MNCs.

Both these colleges provide quality education with successful placements. The students pursuing a course in any of these colleges will be an excellent choice.
Which should I opt for, BITS Goa CSE or NIT Calicut ECE? I am having a financial crunch.
If finances are an issue, then BITS Goa isn’t the right place to go unless you come under the EWS category (total family income less than 11 LPA).
BITS Goa is one of the most expensive engineering colleges in India. A B.E degree can end up costing about 19 to 20 lakhs for 4 years and an M.Sc degree about 19 lakhs. If you are from general category, BITS Goa will dent your wallet for the next few years.
Besides being one of the best engineering NITs in the country, the fees for NIT Calicut are much, much lighter around 5.5 lakhs for 4 years. Getting a Circuit branch is no easy task as the cutoffs are pretty high. If you’re getting ECE here, and money is an issue, then this is the place to go.
Although, if you’re under the EWS section, BITS Goa will offer scholarships based on your performance in the first year. If you’re able to obtain a CGPA of 8.5+, then a scholarship of 80% is awarded. For a CGPA of 7.5, a scholarship of 40% is awarded, and so on.
Which is a better option for EEE, NIT Trichy, or BITS Goa?
You will find that both NIT TRICHY and BITS Goa are excellent colleges for EEE, and they can be rated on par based on the following parameters:
- Teaching quality
- Infrastructure
- Labs
- Campus Interviews
- Academic Rigour
- Hostels
- Technical and Cultural Festivals
- Campus Life
- Peer groups
- Mess food
If you have a financial constraint, you may find it beneficial to join NIT TRICHY since their fees are less than half of BITS.
Alternatively, if you value having a flexible timetable where you get to choose your own professors, or if you prefer the concept of zero attendance policy, BITS may be a better fit for you.
Keep in mind that BITS does not have a reservation policy for SC/ST/OBC.
What should I take IIT Dharwad or IIT Bhilai with Electrical, Mechanical, or IIT Dhanbad with Petroleum?
IIT Dhanbad is known for offering the best program for a degree in Petroleum around the world. You will have the chance to secure a job with top companies with high packages, sometimes even leading up to 20 LPA.

Current scenario:
- The number of high paying placements for Petroleum Engineering has considerably reduced after the institute became an IIT. If you have confidence on securing a well-paying job then go ahead and apply for the course in Petroleum.
- If placement is important to you then you might want to reconsider your options. Electrical and Mechanical observe a high number of placements considering they are core branches of Engineering. Petroleum being a niche field of study sees fewer placements.
Infrastructure: (Winning Institute - IIT Dhanbad)
- IIT Dharwad and IIT Bhilai are fairly new and therefore still do not offer a fully-developed campus.
- IIT Dhanbad, on the other hand, has a well-developed campus that offers students all modern and updated facilities such as practical labs, multiple academic blocks, a digital library, and more. In terms of Infrastructure, IIT Dhanbad is way better.
Both options have their advantages and disadvantages so weigh in those and choose as you see fit.
