- Engineering Physics provided no core placements after completion of the BTech degree.

The average salary is a rather misleading aspect to determine the worth of a college because the highly inflated results can pull the average towards one side. This works in the favor of the college and most times students end up getting misled.

Chemical Engineering and ECE, both the branches are in demand. The major scope of Chemical Engineering is in chemical, food processing, pharma, medical industries, oil, and gas, etc.
The major scope of ECE is in android, mobile, and telecommunication. The majority of the students prefer ECE because of two reasons. The first reason being comfort. Secondly, after acquiring skills in programming languages, it is easy to switch to the IT or software field.

All the mentioned NITs are among the top engineering institutes in the country. Out of all the NITs in India, the best choice is NIT Rourkela. As some of my friends studied there I might be able to give you some reasons. These are:
- NIT Rourkela is famous for its Chemical Branch.
- The research culture of the institute is outstanding.
- The institute has been ranked 16th in the NIRF Ranking for Engineering 2020. It is way above all the three institutes mentioned.
- The JEE Main cut-offs are high. So, only the best students get a chance for admission.
- The college also encourages diversity.

One of my cousins studied at IIM Indore. According to him, yes, IPM IIM Indore has reservations in the final selection round.
IIM Indore, just like any other government institution, follows the reservation policies that are set up by the Government of India for colleges across the country. And, the same is followed for admission into the IPM course of IIM Indore as well.
However, even though this matters, I would suggest you not think about all these factors as of now and aim at scoring the best that you can.
Which is better, 'KJ Somaiya - Electronics engineering' OR 'Vivekanand - Electronics and Telecommunication engineering'?
Having known some people studying in these colleges, I can tell you that both colleges are really good in their own ways. But, you should consider the following before you make any decision:
- KJ Somaiya has slowly improved over the years and now is considered much better than Mumbai University (MU).
- Vivekanand is known to keep track of attendance which is not the case with KJ Somaiya.
- If you are considering doing Electronics, you should know that Electronics and Telecommunications has an upper edge.
- The exams at KJ Somaiya are tougher than MU. This is because MU repeats a lot of previous years’ questions.
- You will get a 5 day holiday in MU before a semester paper. At KJ, you will only get a day or two. Therefore, at KJ, your exams will be hectic.
- The semesters end pretty quickly at KJ as opposed to MU.
- MU students only get one month’s leave after a semester ends. For KJ, this leave is for 2 months.
- You can utilize this time to look for internships and other activities that will help strengthen your resume.
- Electronics has a few subjects like digital communication which might overlap with telecommunications.

Electronics will teach you more about electronic components, circuits and other basic ideas that might be required in general electronics. Telecommunications will only give you a deeper understanding of communication technologies.
