Everything in life has advantages and disadvantages. Here are the advantages and disadvantages of BBA from IGNOU:
Pros:
IGNOU offers a BBA with a Specialization in Retailing (rather than a general BBA), which broadens your opportunities in the retail sector beyond sales and marketing.
Every year, you receive a certificate. As a result, you can begin working immediately after finishing your 12th grade and continue to advance each year. You don't have to wait three years for a degree before you can get a job. You can study while working.
Every year, you are given a project that allows you to gain real-world experience in the retail industry and complete it in retail organisations.
Retail Associations of India is collaborating with IGNOU-BBA. You will receive the best curriculum for it.
The course is written in simple language that is easy to understand, and it includes the best knowledge in the retail specialisation.
The cost of this course is the lowest of any university that offers distance education for BBA.
Cons:
There is no Math or Statistics subject in the entire BBA course from IGNOU, so it is entirely theoretical.
Unfortunately, some prestigious MBA programmes look for a Math subject in the course of graduation when accepting applications. However, there will be many colleges that will accept your degree.
Similarly, some government jobs require a Math subject as part of your bachelor's degree programme. However, there will be plenty of opportunities for you in the government. as well as the private sector for employment You can still apply for exams such as Bank PO, SSC, and UPSC.
The same exposure found in regular BBA will never be found in distance BBA. The reason for this is that you will not learn how to give presentations in front of an audience, which is essential if you are studying BBA.
This course is not offered in every city. So, before enrolling in IGNOU's BBA programme, you should contact the IGNOU regional centre in your city. Because this course is taken by a small number of students, it is only available in a few cities. However, when comparing distance universities for the course of BBA, it is recommended that IGNOU is the best because of its lower cost, reputation, and educational standard.
ISB Hyderabad is known for its lack of specialization in Finance. It’s a common understanding now that even if one is preferring ISB Hyderabad for admission, they know that they should go for anything but Finance. Studying some aspects will give you a deeper insight as to why MBA in Finance from ISB Hyderabad is not recommended.
Faculty: Although the visiting faculty is quite decent, it’s the domestic faculty that has ruined the culture at ISB. They are arrogant, pathetic, and extremely incapable. They insult the students regularly and disturb student-teacher relations.
Placements: The roles offered in Finance were below average like Operations, Sales, and BD roles. Such roles were offered in abundance by the banks or start-ups. However, the superior roles like IB/PE/VC/M&A/FP&A/Equity Research/Credit Rating/Asset Management/TAS were offered scarcely. For instance
So the best roles were offered limitedly while the batch size stood at 900. Most students ended up with unsatisfactory placements. Now you can decide whether or not to join if you are confident to face the placement scenario.
If you are interested in pursuing any UG or PG and do not belong to Tamil Nadu, then you are required to submit the eligibility certificate.
You need this certificate as proof of completion of 12th or graduation from any other state. It will be helpful in joining an affiliated college at the University of Madras.
For the eligibility certificate, you can visit the university website and download the form from the website, or can even visit the campus to take the form. After receiving the form, submit it at the office in the Chepauk campus of the University of Madras.
If you are above the age of 30 and applying for a job or a graduate program, it is expected that you have a certain level of experience. To be successful in the interview process, it is important to demonstrate maturity and communicate effectively, highlighting the unique value that your experience brings to the table. Recruiters often look for candidates with experience and may be more likely to overlook younger applicants with less experience.
In the case of ISB, many companies that recruit on campus are looking for candidates with 5+ years of work experience. Therefore, if you are a 24-year-old with 2 years of work experience, you may face more competition for certain positions. It is important to research the types of companies and positions that you are interested in and to consider whether your experience aligns with the needs of those companies. This is known as "school research" and it is important to do it before applying.
In summary, when applying for a job or graduate program, it is important to have a clear understanding of the expectations of recruiters and the types of positions you are interested in. By doing research and understanding the needs of the companies and positions you are applying for, you can tailor your application and interview to align with those needs and increase your chances of success. Think logically and don't have expectations without a clear trail of thoughts.

While many may shed their philosophies on how getting a high package should not be your ultimate goal and stuff, I am here with a different opinion. When you are investing a huge amount of money it is only right to expect a greater monetary benefit and a better lifestyle. So I have mentioned some techniques that will help you land a package of 30 LPA specifically in the field of marketing post-MBA from IIM ABC, FMS, MDI, SPJIMR, and IIFT.
These points will help you get your dream job but cannot necessarily guarantee it. It all ultimately depends on your efforts and obviously your luck.
Yes, ISB Hyderabad’s PGP program requires a minimum of 2 years of full-time paid work experience. This criteria came into force on 31st March 2016 and is still a necessity.
For candidates who lack in this aspect, there is a back door entry called the Early Entry Option or the EEOs. Under this, you can apply right away, go through the selection process, and receive the admission offer but join only after working for 2 years. This can also be referred to as Deferred admission.
short answer — no, 200-300 NEET score is not enough for KMC Manipal even with payment. and here's the important bit most people miss:
KMC Manipal doesn't have a traditional management quota. 100% of seats go through MCC Deemed University counselling based purely on NEET merit. you can't just walk in with money and get a seat. the general category management quota cutoff at KMC is around NEET score 590-640+. with 200-300 you won't make it through regular admission.
the only route at 200-300 is the NRI quota — which is a completely different track, costs heavily in USD (~$20,000-25,000/year), and has strict documentation requirements (proof of NRI status for parent/close relative).
please be careful of agents who say they can get you a KMC Manipal MBBS seat with 200-300 marks for a lump sum payment. this is a well-known scam — they take money and disappear. all admissions are centralized through MCC and there's no backdoor. if you're scoring 200-300, focus on improving NEET score or look at state govt colleges where reserved category cutoffs are more accessible.
One can easily compensate for poor past academics by scoring extraordinarily well in CAT. Anything below 99 is not acceptable if your past academics are already below average. Moreover, MDI does not give much importance to past academics while shortlisting candidates. They give maximum preference to CAT scores. From what I heard, the interviews are very informal and friendly. Not many formal questions are asked so one can be their true self inside and portray their talents.
However, you should be able to justify your low scores in the later stage.
So focus solely on your CAT preparation with MDI as your target.
