Generally speaking anything above 750 is a good score for admission to IBS Hyderabad. But even a high GMAT score does not guarantee admission to IBS Hyderabad because the shortlisting is profile-based. GMAT score is just a part of the entire selection process. You need to improvise your profile by working on other aspects also like

  • essays
  • profile
  • academics
  • extracurricular activities

Academics: Your 12th class marks graduation grades, post-graduation, and certification scores along with the GMAT cutoff is considered in your academic profile.

Leadership: The leadership skills of the aspirants are tested on the basis of their prior achievements and roles.

Personal attributes: This comprises your personal qualities like hobbies, talents, and extracurricular skills. Aspirants from diverse work experiences, cultures, and educational backgrounds are welcomed at IBS Hyderabad.

So along with preparing well for GMAT, give importance to these parameters as well to increase your chances of admission.

MBA in Operations Management & Marketing, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon (Graduated 2018)

NMIMS may have deteriorated over the last few years but it still is considered one of the top 10 B Schools in the country. It is still preferred by many owing to various factors like location, industry exposure, placements, and peer learning.

Pros

  • The industry exposure one can avail owing to its excellent location is a primary reason for its everlasting reputation
  • It enjoys better brand recognition that the newer IIMs
  • The placements at NMIMS are excellent with almost all the companies visiting the top IIMs cities NMIMS campus. However the quality of roles offered may slightly vary. Yet when compared to newer IIMs, NMIMS has a much better placement scenario.
  • The location itself is a major reason why it is preferred over the new IIMs
  • An average person may find it difficult to bag a good package at NMIMS. But if you are among the top students you can easily get a good package as the average is INR 23.07 LP

Cons

The increasing batch size has become a major issue thereby reducing the overall quality of education and placements.

The interview usually starts with an introduction round. Students are asked questions about their background, achievements, work experience, etc. There will be questions on the subjects you had in +2 level. Is KGMU better or AIIMS Rishikesh?

SK
Sanjana Kapoor Posted On : September 30th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

Being a central institute is not important, it's about the scope of learning offered at a medical school.

AIIMS Rishikesh is a central institute, so it has a better administration. However, KGMU offers much more practical knowledge to its students. MBBS is all about gaining practical knowledge. The number and types of patients received by KGMU is very high. As you enter your clinical years, you’ll realize the importance of these things.

AIIMS Faculties are better administered than state faculties. However, MBBS is about your own efforts and approach towards studies. Teachers can only guide you, the hard work is your job entirely. So faculties aren’t much of a concern. Moreover, KGMU also has highly qualified faculties.

I would say KGMU is better than all the other AIIMS, except AIIMS Delhi.

Can I apply to a DU college in the second cut off even if I was eligible for the first cut off but did not take admission at that time?

DR
Dev Rajput Posted On : October 10th, 2022
Studied at University of Delhi

Yes, you can still apply for college admission. All you need to do is bring all necessary documents, but keep in mind that you will be marked as a Defaulter (a Defaulter student fails to appear in the previous cut-off when he was meeting the requirements).

According to University Regulations, a defaulter can only take admission on the third day of that particular cut-off.

You should go to the college where you want to enroll on the first day and follow the admissions procedure. You are suggested not to tell any teacher about the same because teachers sometimes forget to check if students are defaulters or not. If anyone gets to know, then you will have to come back again on the third day of admission.

Is it difficult to take admission in Jamia Millia Islamia?

SU
Simran Upadhay Posted On : April 22nd, 2023
studied at Jamia Millia Islamia, Faculty Of Engineering And Technology

Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia can be competitive and challenging, but it ultimately depends on the program and the number of applicants. Here are some points to consider:

  • Jamia Millia Islamia is a central university, which means it has its own entrance exam for most undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • The admission process typically involves filling out an online application form, uploading necessary documents, and appearing for the entrance exam or interview.
  • The level of competition varies from program to program. Some programs may have a higher number of applicants and therefore be more challenging to get into, while others may have fewer applicants and be less competitive.
  • It's essential to prepare well for the entrance exam, as it plays a crucial role in the admission process. Make sure you understand the syllabus, exam pattern, and marking scheme for the program you're applying for.
  • The university also has reserved seats for different categories of students, including SC/ST, OBC, PwD, and Kashmiri migrants. These reserved seats may have a lower cutoff than the general category, which can be an advantage for eligible candidates.

Additionally, some programs at Jamia Millia Islamia may have additional criteria for admission, such as work experience, research aptitude, or specific academic backgrounds.

How can I get admission in FTII?

SB
Sukanto Bose Posted On : November 22nd, 2021
studied Cinematography at Film and Television Institute of India

First, you should make sure that you have what it takes to make it in the film industry. Joining FTII doesn’t guarantee a job. It doesn’t offer placement. So, you will have to seek job opportunities on your own. However, the alumni base is quite helpful.

At the entrance, there will be questions mostly from GK, Film History, Logical Aptitude, and design/writing/creative questions. Read up on Indian Film History. Read about the different ages and the people that made a mark on Indian Cinema. Even if you are not that interested in regional cinema, it’s important to know about them. At the entrance, they can ask about different parts of the history of Indian Cinema. You may also need to write your opinion. Also, watch a lot of films. Try to analyze them. Try to shoot a film, if you can. It will go a long way if you get through to the interview stage.

You can easily find the previous year’s question papers of FTII.

What is the admission procedure at DTU?

TS
Tanya Sharma Posted On : July 4th, 2023
Studied at Delhi Technological university

Here is the detailed procedure one needs to follow to get admission at DTU

  • Firstly you have to appear for JEE Mains paper-1 exam and qualify for the DTU cutoff
  • Next, register your account in JAC Delhi for which you will have to pay fees. This platform processes admission for 4 colleges namely DTU, NSUT, IGDTU, and IIIT Delhi.
  • Once you have entered all the details in JAC, you will have to fill in a choice filling form that has 27 options to choose from. Choose wisely because you will get branches according to this preference order only.
  • You will receive an allotment letter if you get selected in the first round. Before visiting the campus you will have to fill out another form on your JAC Delhi account. You will also have to pay fees to JAC Delhi and bring the receipt to the university.
  • Bring 4-5 copies of all the required documents. Once your documents are verified you will get an admission slip.
  • If you fail to get your choice in the first round, you will have to appear in the second round. Once you get a set in the second round you will virtually receive a new allotment letter.
  • This counseling will continue for 6 months after which you will have to pay the remaining fees to the allotted university.

I hope I made things easy for you!
