I wanted to study marketing and this college is the best marketing college in India. I applied to all other major college of MBA including IIMs. I got into IMT Hyderabad and TAPMI and MICA so chose the latter. I got rejected from major IIMs because of my lower cat score and NMIMS because of interview rejection. Mostly my interview prep style was wrong. For MICA i had to give CAT and MiCAT which also had a psychometric test. post clearing them There was a GE PI round. No cutoffs are released from MICA. The overall admission process was very interesting and stimulated my mind a lot.
The total fees comes out to around 2400000 with around 4 installments. The first installment was around 507000, I don't have the breakup for this. The next installment was 4,13,000. In which tuition was 240000, hostels we're 118000, internet was 25000, and library was 25000. The total fees of 2nd year is 12,04,000. In which hostels are around 2,48,000, internet is 75000. Library is 90000.medical is 15000 and alumni membership is 10000. This few structure is same for everyone studying the PGDM course.
The course is hectic, with a curriculum filled with subjects of varied fields. First-year holds generic courses, while the second year provides an opportunity to choose majors in the field of brand management/ media/ data science. The college holds a good faculty: student ratio with multiple visiting and permanent faculties. Faculties are majorly Ph.D. holders and industry professionals with vast experience of working in various industries. Exams happen regularly with mid-sem and end-sem examinations. A thorough knowledge of the subjects is required to pass the exams.
Students become eligible for summer placements from 1st terms and finals from 4th term. Multiple companies like ITC, HUL, Coca cola, Google have visited campus for placements and we have a 100% placements. The highest package offered is around 36lakhs. And the average is around 19 lakhs. The profiles are all around management and marketing related. My plans after getting my MBA are to work in companies in the marketing side and then join strategy and consulting
The courses offered here are mostly around marketing and strategic marketing management. And that is what influenced me to opt for this course as it was exactly what I wanted to study. There are subjects and certifications that are offered to students that teach us exactly what Is going on in corporate and with exactly the tools that are being used. We are also taught research in depth incase we gain interest in persuing that. There are some subjects that would benifit more from case based studying and more application based studying. There are mid terms and there are end terms for every term for first year. Their difficulty level is along the level of the teachings in class and if you've paid attention in class the exams are doable. The quizzes happen randomly but are pre informed in the course outline
Advertising agencies, big and small, but it depends entirely on the placements committee, which is formed out of the batch students themselves. The college itself does not mediate in the process, which can be frustrating. The alumni network is quite good though, and well placed enough for the students to be able to pull some threads and get shit done.
The course sounded fun and enriching but light enough to leave scope for a personalised approach; the campus seemed super fun to live at; the people I met during the interviews seemed so talented, I was craving company like that to learn from; I wanted an experience that wasn’t based on strict discipline or a rigid structure, and MICA is chill AF.
Very cheap type college. Nice play ground Nice class There are also enjoying some unbelievable events in every year but there are so much cheapest students are coming from poorness and sickness. So I hate my college

Each class has around 50 students for first years and around 70 students for second year. The faculties are very approachable and you can take their help for things apart from their subjects like case competitions etc. the best faculty I would say is professor Subrat Sarangi who thought us strategic management because of his curriculum being very case and application based it thought me a lot about how to approach and structure problems. There are no such faculties i dislike For the first year exams happen 2 times every term and there are 3 terms. So a total of 8 exams. in the second year exams are course dependent. Mostly students pass the exam. And if there is someone who fails they are allowed rechecking and re evaluation. Compared to other management schools our curriculum is very much relevant though still in need for updating.
