Should I go for PGDM General in FORE Delhi or TAPMI PGDM BKFS if I want to go in the finance sector?

I feel for Finance, TAPMI would be a much better option because it is good for finances in the Tier 2 league.

But if you wish to explore other fields, such as marketing, operations, or analytics, or if you are not entirely sure of your profession, choose the Fore Delhi PGDM.

Without a doubt, Fore is a top university, and your geographic location gives you an advantage. Additionally, placements this year have been excellent for all tier institutions.

Which is better, a PGDM from LBSIM or a PGDM IB from FORE?

PS
Pradeep Saini Posted On : July 5th, 2021
PGDM from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi (2018)

Among the above two institutes, PGDM in International Business at FORE is definitely a better option, considering the placement statistics of recent years. The points below give a brief overview of the key highlights of the FORE School of Management, along with its major advantages over LBSIM.

  • FORE School of Management offered an average package of 10.7 LPA in PGDM IB. On the other hand, the average package in PGDM at LBSIM is 8.5 LPA, which is quite lesser than that of FORE.
  • The International Business stream in PGDM at FORE has an outstanding syllabus, in which they teach quite a number of subjects different from the conventional core subjects.
  • The placement process of both FORE and LBSIM is almost the same.
  • Most companies allow only those students in their placement drives that have at least one of the specializations mentioned in their required profile. For example, a marketing company will allow only those students who have marketing as one of their specializations.
  • For students of the 2018-20 batch in FORE, the first specialization will be International Business. You have the liberty to choose any one of marketing, finance, strategy, IT, etc as your other specializations.

Therefore, the FORE School of Business offers an excellent PGDM International Business program, which has decent placement and ample opportunities for students.

What is the XAT Cutoff for SP JAIN, K J Somaiya, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI, and FORE?

AB
Adiya Bondhopaday Posted On : March 20th, 2023
Lives in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance exam conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to management programs offered by more than 150 B-schools across India, including SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad (IMT Ghaziabad), T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), and FORE School of Management.

Each of these B-schools has its own XAT cutoff score based on factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats. Generally, the XAT cutoff scores for these B-schools range between the 80 to 90 percentile.

It's important to note that while cutoff scores are an important factor in the admission process, they are not the only factor. Other factors, such as your academic background, work experience, extracurricular activities, and performance in other selection rounds, also play a crucial role in the admission process. So, it's always a good idea to aim for a high score in XAT and prepare well for other selection rounds to increase your chances of admission to the MBA program of your choice.

PGDM in Marketing & Information Technology, FORE School of Management

Yes, FORE School of Management usually reopens registration after CAT results are declared. In fact, many tier 2 B-Schools do the same after CAT results are announced to extend another chance to the students aspiring to pursue MBA.

However, keep in mind that the decision of reopening the application process lies entirely with the institute.

What are my chances in FMS, MDI, and TAPMI if I have 92% in 10th, 80% in 12th, and 95% in graduation?

SM
Sanya Mishra Posted On : August 5th, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2019)

FMS, MDI, and TAPMI are very good and reputed colleges and a student needs to be very good in academics to get admission to any of these colleges.

  • FMS and MDI are ranked higher than TAPMI and with these scores, you will be easily able to get in the second round of selection for any of these colleges.
  • For FMS, you will have to score 99 percentile in CAT as the overall percentage score of CAT for selection is 60% for FMS.
  • For MDI, you will have to score 98 percentile in CAT for the flagship program, and the international business program scoring 95 percentile will be enough.
  • For TAPMI, scoring 90 percentile will be good enough and with this score, you can expect to get a call from the college.
  • After getting the call you will have to prepare yourself for the interview round which will be the major factor in whether you will get admission or not.
  • You must practice a lot for this round and be clear with all the concepts and basics.
  • Also, try to read newspapers and current affairs as these will help you a lot in your interview.

Hence, with these scores, your chances of getting admission in FMS, MDI, or TAPMI are very good and so you must prepare for your interview round very well so that you can finally get admission to your desired college.
