How is B.Tech Biotechnology branch at DTU? What about its placement in 2025/26??

C
CelestialHoliday Posted On : April 1st, 2026

B.Tech in Biotechnology at DTU has been a great choice for me. I didn't have a high JEE rank, so I opted for this branch. The faculty here is really supportive and experienced, with all professors holding PhDs. They make the learning experience enjoyable, and exams are manageable. For placements in 2026, I feel optimistic since DTU has a strong track record. Last year, over 350 companies visited for placements, and a significant number of students secured offers. I believe the opportunities will continue to grow, especially with companies like Google and Microsoft recruiting interns.

What is the reputation of DTU in New Delhi for studying BE/B.Tech??

E
EchoingLockstep Posted On : April 1st, 2026

DTU is among the top engineering colleges in India. However, it’s tough to compare it with IITs and prestigious universities like DU and PU when it comes to international recognition.

The reputation of a college is shaped by its students. With the impressive achievements of DTU students in their careers, the college's international recognition and ranking are bound to improve.

As a student, focus on building your own reputation, and the college's reputation will naturally follow.

Cheers!

Is it worth doing a BBA from DTU or not? What are its placement records and whats your experience with this college so far?

S
StarlightStarling Posted On : April 1st, 2026

Doing BBA at DTU has its perks and downsides. I picked this course because I love marketing and business. The curriculum is okay, but the teaching quality varies. Some professors are great, but a few seem more interested in finishing the syllabus than teaching. Internships are mandatory in the 5th semester, but you have to find them yourself now. The placement statistics show that only 30-35% of students get placed through the college. The highest package offered this year was 13.5 LPA, while the average is around 6.5 LPA. So, if you're aiming for good placement, keep your options open, as a lot of us are thinking about higher studies too.

What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from BA DTU??

Z
ZenithKarma Posted On : April 1st, 2026

As a BA student at DTU, I can say the in-hand salary for freshers is pretty mixed. Some of my classmates got placed with offers around 5 LPA, while the highest package reached 13 LPA last year. Most of the placements are from companies like Byjus and Bajaj, but honestly, only about 20-25% of us got jobs. A lot of my friends are also looking into higher studies after graduation, which is something I’m considering too!

I got selection for BA in DTU but the fees is fairly high. I will have to take an education loan for it. Is it worth the entire effort and money??

ScuffedSculptor Posted On : April 1st, 2026

Honestly, choosing DTU for BA is a big decision, especially with the fees being on the higher side. I’m in the same boat and had to take an education loan too. The faculty here is quite experienced, which is great for learning. Companies like Bajaj and Byjus come for placements, and while not everyone gets placed, the exposure you get is valuable. Plus, events like Engifest are amazing for campus life. If you’re really passionate about your subjects and want to aim for higher studies afterward, it might just be worth it!

What is the total approx fees of DTU for BA (Hons.) Economics??

B
BananaRepublicRat Posted On : April 1st, 2026

For DTU's BA (Hons.) Economics, the overall fee is about 3 lakh across three years. The breakdown is around 90,000 for the first two years and then 1 lakh for the last year. I find the fees to be higher than some other colleges in Delhi, but the quality of education and faculty makes a difference. Plus, there are scholarship options available, though they’re limited.

How is the mess food in DTU? What is in the menu?

W
WanderingHoax Posted On : April 1st, 2026

The mess food in DTU is quite average, to be honest. You get a mix of North Indian and South Indian dishes, but it can get repetitive after a while. For instance, the menu usually includes dal, rice, rotis, and some curry with a side of salad. The breakfast options are typically bread, butter, and sometimes upma or poha. It’s not bad, but if you're someone who enjoys variety, you might find it lacking. Overall, it does its job of keeping us fed, but don't expect gourmet meals.

What is the total cost for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing in DTU??

O
ObsidianOracleOwl Posted On : April 1st, 2026

If you're considering B.Tech Mathematics and Computing at DTU, you should budget about 10 lakh for the full course. While it sounds steep, the scholarships available can ease some of the financial burden. Many students here, including me, have found internships that pay quite well, with some getting stipends of around 30k. So, it’s not just about spending money; you have the potential to earn back a chunk of it through internships.

How do the placements really compare between DTU B.Tech Computer Engineering and NIT Warangal B.Tech Chemical Engineering?

T
TranquilTruth Posted On : March 31st, 2026

I've looked into both DTU's B.Tech in Computer Engineering and NIT Warangal's B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, and while both have strong academic offerings, DTU stands out for its campus life and placement opportunities. DTU boasts an impressive placement rate of around 98% for tech students, with top companies like Google and Samsung hiring graduates, and an average package of 15 LPA. NIT Warangal has a solid reputation, but the specifics on placements for Chemical Engineering aren't as compelling. Faculty at NIT seems to be more experienced, which is a plus, but DTU's vibrant campus life with annual fests and various clubs makes it more appealing for overall student experience. If you're leaning towards tech and want robust placements, I'd personally pick DTU; however, if you prefer a deeper focus on a traditional engineering discipline with experienced faculty, NIT Warangal could be a great fit.
