Which university should I prefer for a CS/IT: G.L. Bajaj, Greater Noida or Galgotias University??
Both G L Bajaj and Galgotias University are decent options for CS or IT branches. However, you will like to refer to the following points before choosing one
Choose G.L. Bajaj if you are self-motivated and determined to work hard because the institute has a rigid academic environment with many restrictions on attendance and such. Galgotia University on the other hand offers a huge sense of freedom with no restrictions at all. You are free to do whatever you want.
Another major factor to consider is the distance from Greater Noida. G.L. Bajaj is situated in the heart of Greater Noida, whereas Galgotias University is situated almost 15-17 Km from Greater Noida.
Honestly, the faculty pool of both colleges is below average. However, if I were to compare then G L Bajaj still has a handful of experienced professors

For a better understanding, I will compare both IIIT Delhi and NSIT Delhi based on some common aspects
- Placement : The placement scenario of both the institutes is similar with IIIT Delhi having a slight advantage. NIST's median package stood at INR 16 LPA while IIIT Delhi's average package stood at INR 23.72 LPA
- Campus : NSIT has a higher campus than IIIT Delhi but is old. IIIT Delhi is a relatively new institute so its infrastructure and campus facilities are modern.
- Hostels : NSIT has bigger rooms than IIIT Delhi but IIIT DELHI has rooms with better facilities. There is the provision of AC at night in summer and a heater at night in winter.
- Faculty : IIIT DELHI is the clear winner as its faculty pool is even better than some IITs.
- Reputation : Being older NSIT enjoys a better brand value and recognition both in and outside India.
- Coding Culture : IIIT DELHI has a much better coding culture than NSUT because the institute is CS centered.
- Fees : IIIT Delhi charges higher fees around ?4.62 Lakhs (1st Year Fees) while NSIT fees are around ?2.29 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
- Clubs : NSUT has a better campus life and extracurricular culture because of the various clubs so it has an edge in this aspect.
- Campus Life: IIIT Delhi has a very rigorous and tiresome campus life while NSIT has a more laid-back campus life.
- Curriculum : IIIT DELHI has a more updated and modern curriculum in comparison to NSITs outdated curriculum irreverent to the industrial trends.
Overall, if you want a rigorous campus life more focused on academics choose IIIT Delhi but if you are looking for a relaxed experience NSIT is the one for you.
Which college should I choose between IIT, Hyderabad & IIIT, Hyderabad for a CSE course?
Had I been in your place, I would have chosen IIIT Hyderabad over IIT Hyderabad. While both colleges offer a good CS program, IIIT Hyderabad is the clear winner when it comes to CS. Consider the following points of comparison
- IIT Hyderabad is a new IIt, so choosing it just because of the IIt tag would be a blunder.
- IIT Hyderabad is still in its development phase and its campus still needs a few more facilities to become full-fledged operating.
- IIIT Hyderabad has a better religion and brand name among the IT giants and therefore its placement scenario is way better than IIT Hyderabad.
- IIIT Hyderabad is well-known for its achievements in competitions like ACM ICPC and GSOC.
I have my cousins in both the institutes and from their discussions I have concluded that IIIT Hyderabad leads in CS opportunities.

What a 10K rank could actually get at IIT Bombay:
- Absolutely NOT CSE main program.
- Possibly: Engineering Physics, Metallurgical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences — these have closing ranks in the 5,000-12,000 range.
- Or: 5-year Integrated M.Sc programs at IIT Bombay in some sciences.
What a 10K rank CAN get overall:
- Good branches at IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT BHU, IIT Guwahati.
- CSE at lower IITs (IIT Patna, IIT Mandi, etc.).
So if your friend genuinely got CSE at IIT Bombay with 10K rank: Either the information is inaccurate, they're referring to a different IIT, OR this was under a specific reserved category (SC/ST where cutoffs are very different) or a different program path (like postgraduate/lateral). Ask for clarification — this doesn't add up for regular JEE Advanced general category.
How is NIT Jalandhar CSE in all aspects: placement, package, accommodation, environment, etc.?

Every Institute has its unique aspects as well as its own strengths and weaknesses. Some factors to consider include the quality of the faculty, the resources available to students, the research opportunities, and the campus culture.
IIT Roorkee, BITS Pilani, and IIT BHU CS are definitely excellent but IIIT Hyderabad wins the race when it comes to CS. It’s second only to IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, and Madras. Because of only 2 branches, the entire focus of the Institute is on CS only. The opportunities, ambiance, and faculty are aligned with the requirements for a good CS branch. Another good option is IIT BHU because of its high ROI.
Having known a few friends in all 4 institutes, I can confidently say that those who chose IIIT Hyderabad CS over IIT Roorkee are doing better now. The IIT tag certainly is helpful but only to a limited extent. The exposure provided by IIIT Hyderabad and its excellent placement opportunities overshadows the much coveted IIT Tag making it a better choice among all institutes. But those looking for stability, facilities, academia, and vast opportunities can go for IIT Roorkee.
Which is better for CSE: Graphic Era University, DIT, or UPES?

Don’t even think about this much and right away it is for IIIT Hyderabad, it will never disappoint you in CS. In fact, If CS is your only preference then the only options better than IIIT Hyderabad are the 5 old IITs.
Here is why I recommend you to go for IIIT Hyderabad
- IIIT Hyderabad has better research culture and facilities in comparison to the other choices. have. The faculty pool at IIIT Hyderabad is much more qualified than these institutes too.
- Students planning to pursue MS will get better exposure and opportunities at IIIT Hyderabad than any of the other aforementioned institutes.
- The CS placements of IIIT Hyderabad are at par with the CS placements of the old IITs. IIIT Hyderabad students get placed in IT giants like Facebook, Google, Uber, Tower Research, and Microsoft
- IIIT Hyderabad students actively participate in coding and programming contests like Google Summer of Code.
So, IIIT Hyderabad is the best option for you unless you are not interested in coding.
How is life of a CS student at IIT Kanpur?
Being a part of the more prestigious department of IIT Kanpur, a CS student will definitely have a very happening life.
