As for the review, I am not sharing my own, but of a friend who recently completed this course. She considered the program to be very good but a bit on the expensive side. Let's break down the review into common aspects

  • Placements: The placement percentage of this program is approximately 4% with the highest package offered around 85 LPA, the lowest salary package offered being 11 LPA. The top roles offered are relationship manager, business analyst, and area sales manager.

According to the Financial Times MBA ranking, the one-year PGPEX MBA programme is among the top ones worldwide. This programme is ideal for middle managers with at least 5 years of experience who want to advance their careers as business leaders.

The programme, which has the distinction of being one of the best MBA programmes in the country, not only transforms your worldview but also prepares you to be a responsible leader. This MBA programme is ranked among the top ten in the world for career advancement and one of the best in terms of return on investment.

However, only a small number of candidates are admitted to the class. To be selected, candidates must have a high GMAT, strong academic records, and a successful career history. People in the PGPEX class have worked in various parts of the world and in various domains. It is not surprising if your class project team includes a doctor, an army captain, an entrepreneur, and a bureaucrat. In the classroom, diversity is essential. PGPM from Indian Institute of Management Indore(Graduated 2022)

MBA EPGP is beneficial in case you are a working individual and want to pursue MBA alongside. In such a case, an EGPG MBA from IIM Kozhikode or Indore is not a bad option. But in other cases, other MBA options are better than EPGP. Other options include:

  1. Executive MBA from any IIM or other Institutes

  2. Regular MBA

  3. FPM (Doctoral Program) from any IIM

Make your decision on the basis of fees, course period, and worth to you.

My friend is currently pursuing PGDM in HCM from GIM and gave me a general picture of the course.

The HCM program covers various domains of Healthcare like

  • hospitals
  • pharmaceuticals
  • med devices
  • public health
  • health IT
  • health insurance

The roles offered through this program include

  • Marketing/sales executives
  • Management trainee
  • Assistant Manager
  • Operations Executive

Placements: The institute boasts of 100% placement percentage of HCM course with average at INR 10.4 LPA and Highest at INR 26 LPA. The majority of students were placed in the Healthcare IT sector (47%), followed by the Consulting (43%), Medical Device (43%) and Pharmaceutical (5%) sectors.

Infrastructure: The college has a world-class campus with 24*7 functioning libraries along with sports and hostel/mess facilities. Its location in Goa speaks of the beauty of the campus alone.

Suitability: This course can be taken by students with any background but it is most suitable for students with a healthcare background, Computer science/IT background, and Pharmacy & biotech background. However, there are many students from varied backgrounds like B.A. B.Sc., non-IT Engineering, B.Com, etc. who have successfully started their career in healthcare after completing this program.

So Goa Institute of Management excels in almost every aspect and its HCM IS considered one of the best-coveted programs.

What is the value for part time PGDM in NMIMS Mumbai?

YS
Yasmeen S Posted On : February 28th, 2023
PGDM in Post Graduate Diploma in Management & Business Management, SVKM's NMIMS

Most part-time courses carry no real value other than adding the post-graduate tag. They have no worth in the corporate world irrespective of whichever reputed college you have chosen. NMIMS is one of the top reputed B Schools in India and has a big brand name.

  • The faculty is extremely talented and experienced
  • The placement scenario is pretty good except that part-time courses have no fixed statistics.
  • The fees are relatively high when compared to other B Schools of the same league
  • The curriculum is very rigorous and requires constant attendance and involvement. Being a part-time PGDM, you are probably a working professional and it becomes very difficult to balance work with studies.
  • The curriculum required you to submit assignments and give frequent exams. This might be difficult for working people.
  • Unfortunately there is quite a level of distinction between full-time PGDM students and part-time PGDM students as the former get the most attention from teachers.
  • The curriculum is rushed in order to get completed within 21 months imparting no real learning

I know a friend who chose NMIMS Executive MBA and paid hefty fees just for the brand name instead of doing the same course at a less popular B School. She regretted her decision and claimed the program to be a total waste of money and time. She said she could have done the same from another B School at half the cost. So part-time MBA itself is not that worthless, but paying a hefty sum merely for the brand name and postgraduate tag is illogical. You can do the same program at a much lesser cost than other B Schools.

Which program is better, PGP HRM at IIM Indore or PGPM at IIM Sambalpur?

SJ
Sidhharth Jain Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Director, T.I.M.E, Pune IIT, IIM Grad. 30 yrs INTL Corp exp

A specific program at one IIM cannot be compared to a general program at another IIM.

In any case, you shouldn't think about enrolling in a course at IIM Sambalpur. It is too recent and has no prior performance. Additionally, given its location, it won't even draw in top faculty. Instead of IIM Sambalpur, you would be much better off attending some high-quality non-IIM colleges.

The best institute for HR professionals is currently XLRI, followed by TISS, Mumbai. Considering that IIMI is one of the top IIMs and has a brand-new HR program, your learning and employment prospects are both promising. However, make sure you enjoy HR. It is practically impossible to later switch out of HR once you are in it.

EPGP from Indian Institute of Management Indore (2021)

Compared to IIM Lucknow’s IPMX, IIM Indore’s EPGP will be a better option.

Small Cohort Size:

IIM Indore has a small cohort size. So, the professor-to-student ratio is higher.

IIM Indore IPMX program takes place on the Noida campus. The environment on campus is ideal for studies and it also has the advantage of being close to the industries in the Delhi NCR region.

Batch Size:

IIM Indore 2021 EPGP batch had 68 students. Students had work experiences in the range of 5-15 years. The students crowd is diverse and there is huge potential for peer learning.

Is doing Executive MBA from Alliance University Bangalore worth?

AP
Aryan Pathak Posted On : February 18th, 2021
M.B.A Marketing, Alliance University (2017)

If you are an individual looking for a course to do side by side with your job, I’d recommend you to definitely consider Alliance University for an executive MBA. It is one of the best private universities in India for management courses.

  • Individual Growth: The college focuses a lot on individual personal development as well as a team-based approach to assignments, which will eventually help in business.
  • Curriculum: The university frequently updates its curriculum so you will definitely learn about some current issues and cases. Moreover, it is designed by experienced faculty members and industry practitioners which is a major plus.
  • Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very well developed as well and the campus is quite big.
  • Accreditation: It is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), USA which is a renowned quality assurance organization for business major schools.
  • Placements: A classmate of mine was placed at Goldman Sachs and she advises that multiple company projects will let you apply your academic knowledge immediately. Companies like Amazon, Nestlé, Paytm visit the institute annually.

However, the college did experience a bit of a political issue where a family feud between the chancellor and his brother began affecting the faculty and administration. A lot of my juniors had a bad experience.

Overall, the program is a good investment that will help you grow professionally as well as personally. While the degree may not be at the same level as an MBA, you can expect to have an increase in your pay and it will definitely help you achieve your goal.
