What are the best things for University of Jammu students to do on weekends?
There are a lot of things that you can do at Jammu University during weekends.
- If you stay on the university campus, you can take membership and permission to access courts and games at the university stadium.
- Most students prefer to study at the central library of Jammu.
- You can visit the nearest tourist places like Mansar Surinsar Lakes, Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Shiv Khori in Reasi district, Gharana wetland at RS Pura, etc.
- If you love movies, there are multiplexes within a 4-5 km radius of the university.

What happens on the opening day at DG Vaishnav College?
From one of my friend’s experiences, I can say that you will have a seminar in an auditorium after which you are allowed to go home, as from the following day your regular classes will start.
On the first day seniors will guide you to join societies or clubs where your interests lie.
It is suggested that you go to college early on the first day and ask every representative of the clubs about them and then decide which to take part in.
Joining clubs will also help make more connections and give you enough exposure.
On the opening day generally the principal meets all the students in a group, gathering in the college and familiarizes them with the rules and regulations, and gives instructions. You will be allocated to your classes and will get to meet the HoD of every department.
How good is SCMHRD, Pune according to the placement and campus environment?

IIM Bangalore has many, not one USPs. Here are some that caught my attention the most.
Location: Unlike other IIMs located on the outskirts of cities, IIM Bangalore enjoys situated at the heart of the city. Students need not travel far for shopping or other fun activities.
Sports center: IIM Bangalore is heaven for sports freaks. Its vast infrastructure comprises a sports center where badminton, squash, pool, table tennis, cricket, volleyball, and basketball are played.
Swimming pool: IIM Bangalore is the first and only IIM to have swimming pool facilities.
Surreal campus: IIM Bangalore has a lush green campus with paved roads around ideal for late-night walks. The temperature here is moderate due to the excess greenery.
NSRCEL: This is the most eye-catching feature of IIM Bangalore. NSRCEL is an entrepreneurship cell that promotes the startup ideas of aspiring entrepreneurs. It even holds Launchpad programs that give vast knowledge about the startup world. NSRCEL has incubated many well-known startups.

What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at Sambalpur University?
Whether you are a postgraduate or a Ph.D. student, your life at Sambalpur University will be enjoyable and full of fun. The university is situated in a magnificent location surrounded by greenery with two temples.
However, there are a few tips below that may help you live a calm and happy life at the university.
- As a first-year student, ensure that you have a permanent seat in the appropriate hostel (essential for female students) prior to admission.
- Maintain a nice attitude with your hostel companions and department classmates.
- Seniors will expect you to respect them. Keep your distance from these problems.
- If you are a science student, never miss a practical class because it's more fun than learning.
- Participate in hostel and department gatherings where you will meet new people.
- The university campus is a safe and pleasant place to walk in the morning. You may do this every day.
- The canteen near the administrative block serves tasty samosa and refreshing drinks. Do try them out.
- For all your banking and money-related needs, there are ATMs and banks near the university canteen. These can be accessed as per your requirements.
Sambalpur University is comparatively good when it comes to other colleges in the area. You will have the best faculty including great exposure for a great career.
Is PGDAV College (Evening) good in terms of its people and atmosphere?
The college life and peer group at PGDAV depends on the course you are choosing. Few of my friends pursued their B.Com (H) from this college and they vouch for the teaching faculty and peer group. It is also a great option for studies related to drama, theater acting, singing, etc. From time to time there can be problems at the campus but it is part of college life.
How do I reach IIM-Shillong?
The only means of transport to reach IIM Shillong is a cab. You can book it privately or go for a shared one as well depending on your budget. The duration of the journey is around 3-4 hours on any typical day. There are two routes to reach IIM Shillong
- Take a shared cab from Airport/Railway station and take a stop at Police Bazar. From there you can take another cab to IIM Shillong which is around 15 mins away.
- You can directly hail a private cab from Guwahati Airport or Guwahati Railway station to IIM Shillong. This option is suitable for those who are traveling to the college for the first time. The fair amounts to something around 2k and can be shared by people accompanying you.
Once you are familiar with the traffic and routes, you can look for other options as well.
What are the differences between ISB Hyderabad & ISB Mohali in terms of placements, experiences, campuses, accommodation, etc.?
ISB Hyderabad and ISB Mohali are two different campuses of the same school. ISB Hyderabad is one of the top private business schools in India and it is the main campus. The other campus is in Mohali. The college was ranked 10 in 2020 by the composite rank for MBA. Even though they are two different schools, they have the same unified admission process.
There is a very minute difference between both schools. ISB Mohali has small batches; the teachers of ISB Mohali are from US B schools while in ISB Hyderabad there are in-house teachers. ISB Hyderabad is more renowned as compared to the Mohali campus.
Placements:
In terms of placements, both the colleges have the same placements, same admission processes, and same courses.
- There was a remarkable amount of growth of recruiters as compared to the previous year.
- In the year 2020, there were a total of 231 companies visiting the campus. There was a 16% of the incensement of the offers.
- The top companies that visited the campus were Abhibus Services (India) Pvt Ltd, ABP News Network Pvt Ltd, Accelya, Accenture Solutions Pvt Ltd, ACE Engineering Academy and Adani Group.
- The average salary which was recorded was Rs 23.4 LPA.
Infrastructure:
In terms of infrastructure, ISB Mohali has a comparatively new campus but in comparison to ISB Hyderabad, the new campus is smaller and has fewer facilities than the one in Hyderabad.
Therefore, the above mentioned are the differences between the two schools.
What is the student life in Vasavi College of Engineering?
I can answer the question since I have a few friends from Vasavi College of Engineering.
Vasavi college of engineering has a great placement record that attracts students. However, the real scenario at the institute is a little different. The academic environment is very poor and the students who are from non-IT branches are also forced to study IT subjects because in the end they are also being placed into an IT company.
Before getting attracted to the placement records, look out for the companies in which the students are being offered jobs. The work-life after getting placed is very hectic.
What are the campus and hostel facilities in IIIT-Allahabad?
It’s quite a big campus with impressive infrastructure. In my opinion, one of the best things that you can get here is internet services. There is unlimited access to the internet 24*7 in all corners of the campus as well as a hostel both through LAN and WiFi.
There is a total of 5 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel that ensure smooth accommodation of all the students of IIIT Allahabad. Although there’s little variety in the food available it is still not too bad. For sports and other related activities, there is an option of a swimming pool, badminton courts, squash, snooker, table tennis, lawn tennis, football ground to name a few.
The hostel rooms are quite spacious as compared to many other college hostels and they are properly ventilated and lit. There is a bed, a table, a chair, and one almirah provided in every room at the hostel.
Since it is a newly constructed campus, the bathrooms and other facilities are quite well maintained. Moreover, cleanliness and hygiene are also paid attention to and the management and the authorities take very good care about it.
Overall, there are very few issues and complaints that one might have throughout his stay at IIIT Allahabad.
