Are there reservations for Dalits at Aligarh Muslim University?
No, there is no special reservation for Dalits in Aligarh Muslim University. In fact, there is no reservation for any caste or religion at AMU. However, you need to mention your religion in the application form. After the entrance, the selection list is prepared purely based on merit.
Although the university does have an internal quota AMU. If you want to take admission in an MTech course at AMU, your qualifying degree is BTech or BE. You can take advantage of the internal student quota, only if you have completed your undergraduate engineering degree from AMU.

- Young and enthusiastic faculty members who have great experience and conduct top-notch research
IIT Hyderabad Cons:
- The permanent campus is still under construction.
- Relatively hot climate.
IIT Guwahati should never be your first choice and IIT Hyderabad is a much better option.
Which branch is better to join, CSE at IIT Indore or MNC (mathematics and computing) at IIT Guwahati?
My brother was in a similar dilemma last year when he had to choose between MnC IIT Guwahati and CSE IIT Indore. Eventually, he went for IIT Indore CSE. The main reason he decided against going for the MnC program was his lack of interest in Math. And when we talk about Math at IIT, trust me when I say it’s at another level. It’s purely proof-based and high-level Math that can be handled only by true Math lovers. The academic workload is also high with 60% Math and 40% CS courses.
Now, here are a few points that might convince you to join IIT Indore instead
- IIT Indore qualified for ACM-ICPC World Finals thrice. This in itself is quite an achievement considering this event's importance.
- As per HackerRank, IIT Indore is said to have the best coders in the whole country. Additionally, it’s at the 8th position globally for the best coders
- IIT Indore has an extensive alumni base who completed their Master's from top foreign universities like Stanford, Caltech, University of Columbia. Many talented alumni also increase the credibility of the institute by working at reputed firms like Google and Facebook.
- This year, the CS department recorded 100% placements with the highest and average packages standing at INR 48.5 LPA and INR 30.32 LPA respectively.
Overall, IIT Indore CSE is a much better choice than MnC IIT Guwahati considering the work of and job opportunities.
Which should I choose between PICT, MIT Pune, VIT Pune, for ENTC or WCE Sangli electronics?
Here is a detailed analysis of the aforementioned colleges based on some common aspects
- Branch: Electronics and E&TC are two very different branches covering many different subjects. So it’s best to go through the syllabus and then decide the branch of your choice.
- Academics: Academically, VIT Pune and WCE Sangli are better choices than MIT and POCT mainly because both are autonomous and have a pointer scale and thus scoring a good CGPA is easier.
- Fees: WCE charges the least among these colleges mainly because it’s a government-funded college. PICT charges fewer fees in comparison with MIT and VIT.
- Location: All three institutes namely PICT, MIT & VIT, are in Pune so enjoy great location benefits

So all you will be left behind is a title attached to your name. This course is also a waste of time and money as the fees of this course are quite high.
This course won't yield you any valuable results unless you are extremely passionate and a self-learner.
Which is better CSE at Walchand college of engineering, Sangli or VIT Pune CSE?
As opposed to the preconceived notion, not every college in Pune is visited by the best companies. In fact, good companies can go to a great college even if it’s located in the middle of nowhere. That being said, WCE Sani is a better choice than VIT Pune in terms of the opportunities it offers.
