How are placements for civil engineers at NIT, Warangal compared to other branches like CSE?
Comparing a dormant branch like Civil with the most coveted branch CSE isn’t a very logical way of getting an idea of the placement scenario. Every student of the CSE branch ends up with a core job so its placement scenario is incomparable. Civil Engineering despite having a low demand has a decent number of core positions recruited.
Nowadays, the youth is not interested in joining PSUs mainly because of their low pay in comparison to software companies. Most civil engineering students are interested in core positions so the numbers in non-core aren't that great. Moreover, the number of students interested in MS, CAT, and GATE is growing every year affecting the placement statistics largely.

How are the placements for an IT at NIT Raipur??
During NIT Raipur placements in 2022, there were 91 eligible students and 85 offers received during the placement season. This is indicative of the good placements at NIT Raipur, where most sincere students during their academic years are able to get jobs with decent packages.
The average salary package offered during the placements is around 17 LPA, with the lowest salary package being 6 LPA. This indicates that even the lowest salary package offered is still decently high. Additionally, some of the top recruiting companies that come to NIT Raipur for placements are Microsoft, Adobe, Cognizant, Wipro, and ITC.
If you are considering applying for internships at NIT Raipur, then you should know that around 75-80% of students were able to secure internships from the college. This is a testament to the quality of education and opportunities available at the institution.

Which among IIIT Kalyani, IIIT Kottayam, IIIT Dharwad, and IIIT Ranchi is good for CSE?
One of my friends is studying at IIIT Kalyani, and he once tells me that this institute is nothing more than sarcasm. College administration and technical staff are just ridiculous, and there is nothing to say about them.
He also says that this institute does not even have a full-time registrar; rather, faculties are guest faculties from the local colleges.
However, this institute has planned to start PhD programs in recent days. Still, the reality is that the college administration is poor enough to handle the present student population that is approximately 350 students, very smoothly. It can be mentioned that the placement cell of this institute is completely unaware of its roles and responsibilities. They are an example of an ill-lethargic, lazy and greedy people group.
Thus, it can be concluded that this institute is visionless.
Which is better, an IIT KGP CSE dual degree or an IIT Roorkee CSE B.Tech?
Without any second thoughts, choose IIT Roorkee CSE B. Tech over IIT KGP CSE dual degree because dual degrees are usually less preferred by companies coming for placements.
It’s better to do MTech after BTech than to opt for a dual degree. The main reason is that in Masters you are open to changing your branch in case your interest goes to another field. But a dual degree means you will be studying the same field with no option of changing in between.
Another major disadvantage of a dual degree is that you are not eligible to change your branch to a 4-year program irrespective of your CGPA
You will see your batchmates leaving a year before you and getting offers and settling well before you.
IIT KGP no doubt is older and better than IIT Roorkee in every aspect. But as far as the program is concerned, a dual degree is not worth spending so many years at all.
Is a CSE degree from Thapar University worth spending 25 lakhs?
A CSE degree from Thapar University doesn’t cost 25 lakhs. I have a friend from the institute who will soon graduate from the institute. He paid approximately 12 lakhs for four years. Hostel fees are not included. Even with annual increases and hostel fees, it will never reach 25 lakhs.
- CSE from Thapar is worthwhile because they have excellent placements and a welcoming environment. According to the 2020 placement highlights, more than 264 companies visited the placement drive and the highest CTC offered was 43 LPA.
- Also, there are a number of societies in Thapar where you can learn a variety of non-technical skills such as dance, singing, economics (ECON Club), event management, marketing, and design and various events take place throughout the year. This contributes to an individual's overall development.
- Apart from what is included in the syllabus, there are societies that cater to technical learning such as CCS, Microsoft Student Chapter (for CS students, anyone with an interest is welcome to join), IEEE, IETE (for ECE students), and many more for all branches.
All these factors make Thapar a good option for pursuing a CSE degree.
What should I take, electrical engineering at IIT Delhi or CSE at BITS Pilani?
IIT Delhi and BITS Pilani are two highly reputed institutions for engineering studies in India. I am a second year B.Tech Electrical student at IIT Delhi. During my time, I was faced with a similar dilemma. But I ended up choosing IIT Delhi over BITS Pilani for my studies.
I would recommend you choose Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi over CSE at BITS Pilani because of these reasons:
- Brand Value: IIT Delhi carries the prestigious “IIT'' tag which holds more brand value than the “BITS Pilani'' tag. This will become important to you when applying to foreign universities for your higher education.
- Fees: As a government institution, the fees of IIT Delhi is much more affordable as compared to BITS Pilani. This in turn, gives IIT Delhi a higher position in ROI (Return on Investment) because it offers even better placements.

Which college is better for ISE: RNSIT, CMRIT or A.M.C engineering college?
First, you should stop considering A.M.C Engineering College, if you are going to compare it with institutes like RNSIT or CMRIT. Among the above three institutes, RNSIT would be the best option for Information Science and Engineering.

Placement (Winning Institute- RNSIT):
- Though placements primarily depend on the candidate’s dedication and hard work, RNSIT has a greater edge over good opportunities in the industry.
- RNSIT and CMRIT have an almost similar level of growth. But to some extent, RNSIT is preferred over CMRIT due to the overall placement scenario, availability of companies and packages offered.
Key highlights - RNSIT:
- RNSIT is famous for its teaching faculty, the way they help students and encourage them in the curriculum and placement.
- Going with the fame too, RNSIT is preferred. Among the three institutes, RNSIT has the lowest closing ranks in COMEDK and KCET.
- Ranking-wise, RNSIT leads in the race due to the lowest overall fees and a good amount of facilities offered.
So, it is evident that RNSIT is the most preferred institute for ISE among the three.
What should I prefer: IT at IIIT Allahabad or CS at NIT Jalandhar?
You should prefer IT at IIIT Allahabad. It has a better placement record, coding culture, and peer group. IIIT Allahabad also has a better industry reach compared to NIT Jalandhar. Industry giants such as Facebook, Google, etc. take part in the placement drive. During IIIT Allahabad placements in 2022, 100% of students got placed. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 1.4 CPA.
How many marks or what rank is needed to get into CSE at CGC Landran?
The two options for taking admission to CGC Landran are below.
- Through PTU Counselling: 75% seats.
- Directly by college: 25% seats.
Admission Details:
- B. Tech admission is on the valid score of JEE Main for Punjab domicile candidates.
- The final admission is dependent upon the PTU counseling.
- In JEE Main, you need a rank up to 6-7 lakhs.
- You can also get direct admission to this college. The only condition is that you should have at least 70 percent marks in your HSC.
- Even though your HSC marks are short, you may also get a college seat on a donation basis. The donation rates change according to your marks in HSC and the time left for starting the new academic session.
