KLE Technological University, also known as Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering & Technology is a private university recognized by UGC and AICTE. NIRF 2020 has ranked the institute 151 overall.

K.L.S Gogte Institute of Technology is an autonomous affiliated Indian engineering college in Belgaum, Karnataka. It has been bestowed with the Excellent Technical Education Institute in Karnataka award at the August 9, 2014, National Karnataka Education Summit. It is also ranked 19 for Architecture by India Today 2020.

Admission:

KLE Technological University-

• In order to be eligible for admission to B.Arch at KLE Technological University students are required to have a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.

• For admission into B. Arch, students will have to appear for the NATA entrance test and secure at least 40% marks.

KLS GIT Belgaum-

• For BArch, candidates must pass in 2nd PUC or 12th or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject and obtain a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

• BArch admission is done through NATA.

Teaching-Learning Process:

• In the KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, study tours to places of architectural significance in India are conducted during the 3rd and 5th semester holidays. The 7th semester Urban Insert project focuses on the role of context in the shape and function of developed and unbuilt spaces in urban areas.

• KLE Tech provides highly qualified and professional faculty who constantly aspire to foster skills, foster creativity, and thus ensure that high-caliber architects are produced by the Institution.

Placement: At KLE Tech around 70% of the students get placed each year. Whereas the placement average at KLS GIT is 80%.

Top recruiting companies at KLE Tech are Accenture, Dalmia cement, iGATE, Infosys, etc. Some of the major recruiters at KLS GIT are Asian Paints, Bosch Ltd, Cipla, Global Edge, Aricent, etc.

Both departments have their own perks and demerits. However, it is recommended that students go with their choice of interest.

PEC Chandigarh and NIT Meghalaya, neither of them are good colleges as of now due to some major reasons. 

NIT Meghalaya:

• NIT Meghalaya is situated in the northeastern part of India and it is a newly built NIT. 
• It now comes at the bottom among all the NITs of our country. This is because of the poor and temporary management faculty and it doesn't even have a campus of its own. 
• The placements here are currently very poor as this college is newly built. It will take its time to get exposure and recognition which can attract top companies to visit for campus placements. 

PEC Chandigarh:

• PEC Chandigarh is not a great college as students scoring lower ranks like 40k or more can also get admission at PEC.
• The placement records are also very poor here. And being at PEC Chandigarh you will also not get the NITian tag which can be very helpful while looking for jobs. 

It is suggested to take a year drop and start preparing for JEE Main properly and aim to score higher marks. Appear for the January exam and not the April exam as almost every student targets for it and it can be very difficult to score higher rankings as competition will get very tough. January exam will have less competition and it will be easy to get higher rankings which can indeed open possibilities to get admission in one of the top IITs or NITs. 

After IITs and NITs, students will always prefer IIITs as they offer neck to neck competition to other institutes. IIIT Dharwad being recently established offers stiff competition to other IIITs. All three colleges claim to have placed more than 70% of its students. Facilities like well-ventilated hostel rooms, cafeteria, digital library, and scholarships to different categories.

Admission:

• For admission into IIIT colleges, students need to appear for the JEE(Joint Entrance Exam) mains exams and get a good rank for the same. Admission is purely merit-based.

• IIIT Manipur has 50 seats for both ECE and CSE branches. IIIT Dharwad has 75 seats in the ECE branch. IIIT Kottayam has 192 seats in the CSE branch and 48 seats in the ECE branch.

The required cutoff for the institutes is as follows.

Faculty:

• IIIT Dharwad has a dedicated group of experienced faculty and many are yet to join the institute.

• IIIT Manipur had 6 Assistant professors, professors, Ph.D. holders helping students in every field.

• IIIT Kottayam is composed of experienced faculty for each branch as well as for research.

Well developed laboratories and computer centers are set up for the students of ECE and CSE students for these colleges.

Course fees:

The fee structure varies for different colleges depending on the facilities provided. The fee structure per year for BTech at these colleges is as follows.

• IIIT Dharwad: INR 2,10,000

• IIIT Manipur: INR 1,87,945

• IIIT Kottayam: INR 1,35,000

Placement:

• IIIT Dharwad showed a decent placement record of 94% in the recent statistics. The highest package offered was INR 11 LPA and the average was INR 7 LPA. Some of the top recruiters were Atria, Code, Greenock, Goldman Sachs, TCS.

• IIIT Manipur being recently established could place only 17 out of 23 students in reputed companies. Because of the remote location, many corporate companies did not visit. But a surge in admission can be noticed this year.

• The highest package offered at IIIT Kottayam was INR 10 LPA, and the average was INR 5 LPA. The placement percentage was 75%.

All the colleges above are recently established but still provide head-on competition to other institutes. The remarkable progress in the placement percentage, student admission, faculty is clearly visible. Students can opt for any of these colleges.
