The 99.5+ percentile requirement is for candidates from an engineering background.
This is because 90 percent of CAT aspirants are engineers.
A few years back, one of my friends with less than 90 percentile in CAT got a call from IIM Ahmedabad, and converted successfully. He was from the general category, and had a non engineering background.
The aim of IIM Ahmedabad is to maintain batch diversity. 99.5 percentile means roughly 1000 candidates, far more than the quota for engineering background.
The final cutoff is much lower for candidates from other academic backgrounds. Moreover, the final selections are not solely based on CAT percentile.
One of my friends graduated from NIT Trichy and here is what he shared about this question. Honestly, it might get a bit tough for you.
But this is not the end of the world, because you stand a chance to get into either Production Engineering or Metallurgy Department.
Since your JEE Mains score is 134 your ranking would be between 50000 and 75000. The cutoffs also depend on the category you are from.
Here are some of the branches you can try for. JEE Mains Cut off Rank for NIT Trichy Home State Quota General Category (2020) –
| Course | Female | Male |
| Civil Engineering | 47261 | 38686 |
| Metallurgical and Materials Engineering | 52941 | 42176 |
| Production Engineering | 56636 | 37210 |
However, if you have a pretty good score you can try for other colleges too. So do not lose hope and stay confident.
For AIIMS Bhopal MBBS admission, you should meet the AIIMS Bhopal Cutoff score. These cutoffs are released by AIIMS NewDelhi and National Testing Agency. Only students with valid NEET scores can apply for AIIMS.
AIIMS Bhopal NEET Cutoff 2022 for different categories has been tabulated below. The overall cutoff for NEET is 576 rank.

One of my friends from NITIE mentions that for the mechanical engineering course under the general category, there are different requirements of GATE score by the college for the admission process.
The GATE score is quite difficult to say as there can be even a waiting list if there is a requirement for the same. Therefore, if a person gets the required minimum GATE score and performs well in the GD and PI round. Then there is a possibility of getting the call as the shifting in the waiting list is not predictable.
Simply add two parts Mathematics, one part Physics, and one part Chemistry to get a total of 200.
For example, if you received 90 points in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, your cut-off is 90/100 (Math) + 45/50 (Physics) + 45/50 (Chemistry) = 180/200. And you must compete with students from all other states, except Tamil Nadu, against their marks calculated in this manner, regardless of whether they are CBSE or not.
As you must be aware, cut-off changes each year. RUHS is the topmost college in Jaipur because it is located in the capital city and is the second most preferred college for most students after SMS.
If you're from an unreserved category with marks 590 and above, and a percentile between 96 to 98, as is required by government medical colleges, and a rank under 400, for the state quota rank list, then you must surely get it.
For XLRI, you will have to appear in XAT. As for IIMs, the selection for admission varies depending on which category you belong to.
But these are only the minimum requirements to get a call for WAT-PI at these institutes. To be selected for admission, you will need to perform well in the WAT-PI round too as the competition will be fierce.
Admission to IIIT Guwahati is based on several factors such as the number of available seats, the number of applicants, the category, and the candidate's performance in JEE Main. The cutoff ranks for each program and category may vary from year to year depending on these factors.
However, based on the previous year's cutoff ranks, it seems difficult to get admission to IIIT Guwahati for a CS or ECE program with a CRL rank of 55k in the OBC category. In 2021, the closing rank for CS and ECE programs in the OBC category at IIIT Guwahati was around 28k and 30k respectively.
In any case, you should keep your options open and apply to other colleges as well.
To get CSE at NIT Trichy you need to score 250+. Here is the NIT Trichy cutoff for 2021.
| Category | Cutoff |
| General | OS - 62-316 HS - 2243-5432 |
| SC | OS - 8-142 HS - 384-1171 |
| ST | OS - 38-47 HS - 277-277 |
| OBCNCL | OS - 94-204 HS - 967-1510 |
However, keep in mind that the required cutoff varies each year depending on different parameters like the number of seats, difficulty level of papers, etc.
