Which one should I opt for DTU B.Tech Computer Engineering or MNIT Jaipur B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering

L
LucidLyricist Posted On : April 7th, 2026

DTU B.Tech in Computer Engineering offers a strong ROI with an average package of 15 LPA and a placement rate of 98%, which is impressive given the slightly higher fee structure of around 2.3 lakhs per year. In contrast, MNIT Jaipur’s B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering has a similar fee but may not have as robust placement statistics readily available. While both colleges provide good campus life and opportunities, DTU seems to provide a smarter financial choice due to its superior placement rates and higher packages. If you're looking for immediate returns and opportunities in tech, go for DTU; if you're passionate about AI and data, MNIT can still be a good option, but with a more cautious outlook on placement prospects.

How do the placements really compare between DTU B.Tech Biotechnology and Jadavpur University BE Electronics & Telecom Engineering?

C
CrypticChorus Posted On : April 7th, 2026

As a branch, ECE is definitely better than EE due to the greater number and quality of companies available for placements. Claiming “EE is a core branch” is an absurd reason to choose it.

Why do you think ECE closes far earlier than EE in every college?

When comparing Jadavpur University to NIT Rourkela, Jadavpur University comes out on top. (MHRD Ranking: 9 for JU vs 19 for NIT Rourkela; QS World University Rankings also places JU above NIT Rourkela—check it out!)

Placements for Jadavpur ECE outperform NIT Rourkela EE. JU ECE had an average placement of 8.093 LPA, while NIT Rourkela averaged 5.3 LPA. (You can verify this from here: How is the placement scenario in NIT Rourkela dual electrical?)

Additionally, the fees at JU are significantly lower than those at NIT Rourkela.

The notion that the NIT tag provides an added advantage in the industry is misguided. JU is well-recognized in the industry too, and you’ll see no difference there. If it weren’t, would companies like Texas Instruments, Microsoft, General Electric, Siemens, Ericsson, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Direct-i, etc., be visiting the campus every year?

In light of all these factors, JU ECE is a better career option than NIT Rourkela EE!

Which one should I opt for DTU B.Tech Environmental Engineering or Jadavpur University Information Technology

C
CrimsonSorcerer Posted On : April 7th, 2026

In my view, DTU's B.Tech in Environmental Engineering offers stronger placement opportunities compared to Jadavpur University's Information Technology program. DTU has over 300 companies visiting for placements, with impressive packages that can reach crores for international roles, while Jadavpur University's placement data isn't as robust. In terms of internships, DTU provides insightful research internships, although both colleges face a tough market currently. If you're more inclined towards tech and better job prospects, DTU would be the way to go, but if you're passionate about IT and don’t mind a potentially less lucrative path, Jadavpur could still be a fit.

Which one should I opt for DTU B.Tech Civil Engineering or NIT Warangal B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering

V
VividVoid Posted On : April 6th, 2026

Deciding between DTU's B.Tech in Civil Engineering and NIT Warangal's B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering boils down to fees and return on investment. DTU's fees start at 2,19,000 and rise annually, while NIT Warangal typically has lower fees, which can enhance ROI given the higher salary packages in the tech field. For instance, NIT Warangal's highest package reached around 1.2 crore, compared to DTU's highest of 90,000 per month for civil engineering. While both colleges offer solid opportunities, NIT Warangal provides more lucrative placements, making it a smarter financial choice for those inclined toward electronics. If you’re passionate about civil engineering and government roles, DTU is still a good pick, but for better financial prospects, NIT Warangal is the way to go.

Should I go for B.Tech Automotive Engineering in DTU or BE Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in Jadavpur University?

S
SilverSaboteur Posted On : April 6th, 2026

Considering the fees and return on investment, DTU for B.Tech in Automotive Engineering seems like a smarter financial choice compared to Jadavpur University for BE in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. DTU's average stipend during internships is around 25k, with top packages reaching 60 lpa, which is impressive for the fees ranging from 2.19 lakhs in the first year to potentially 2.49 lakhs in the fourth year. While Jadavpur University has a good reputation, the lack of detailed salary data makes it hard to gauge ROI accurately.

If you're looking for a strong placement record and vibrant campus life, DTU is definitely the way to go; however, if you're more inclined towards a niche field and Jadavpur's specialized offerings, it could still be a viable option.

Should I go for B.Tech Biotechnology in DTU or BE Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in Jadavpur University?

S
StaticShade Posted On : April 5th, 2026

For placements and internships, DTU's B.Tech in Biotechnology seems to have a clear edge over Jadavpur University's BE in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. At DTU, over 350 companies visited for placements in 2025, with students landing impressive packages averaging 10-15 LPA and the highest reaching 1.2 crore. The internship opportunities are abundant too, with stipends ranging from 10,000 to 2 lakh per month, which is a great incentive.

Jadavpur University, while prestigious, typically focuses on core engineering, and the specific data on placements and internships is less comprehensive. If you're inclined towards a more diverse career path with robust support for internships and placements, DTU is the better choice. However, if you are passionate about electronics and prefer a traditional engineering route, Jadavpur might still offer a solid foundation.

How hard is DTU entrance exam for an average student??

S
SerpentineHoneycomb Posted On : April 4th, 2026

I can’t really say the DTU entrance exam is super easy, especially for an average student like me. I mean, the competition is pretty tough. You have to be well-prepared in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. I was nervous, but I focused on understanding the concepts instead of just memorizing. The exam tests your analytical skills too, so you need to practice a lot of problems.

But if you’re interested in engineering and put in the effort, you can definitely ace it. I'm in the Economics course at DTU, and I find the environment motivating!

I got selection for BBA/BMS in DTU but the fees is fairly high. I will have to take an education loan for it. Is it worth the entire effort and money??

S
ScuffedSaga Posted On : April 4th, 2026

Honestly, choosing BBA at DTU is a big decision, especially with the fees being on the higher side. But if you’re committed to a career in business, it could be worth it. The curriculum is solid, and while the faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20, many professors are good at teaching. Plus, you get to intern with big companies like Bajaj and ZS Associates, which can enhance your resume. Keep in mind, though, that placements can be tricky, as only about 30-35% of students get placed directly through the college. If you're ready to take the loan and have a plan for your future, I’d say go for it!

Is doing B.Tech Electrical Engineering from DTU any good?

R
RippedRider Posted On : April 4th, 2026

I’m currently in my first year of B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at DTU, and I can already see it’s a good decision. The faculty here are really knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs. The exams are a bit tough, but it keeps us on our toes. Although I haven’t explored internships much yet, I’ve heard from seniors that there are various opportunities with good stipends, like around $98k for Facebook! When it comes to placements, I know that companies like Apple and Google are regular recruiters. The last batch had about 80% placement, which is promising for us. Overall, DTU has a great environment for learning and growth.

What is the average Package in DTU in BBA/BMS??

C
CelestialCatfish Posted On : April 4th, 2026

I chose BBA at DTU because I’ve always been interested in business. The average package for BBA graduates here is about 6.5 LPA, which isn’t too shabby. The top companies that recruit us include PWC and Deloitte. Although the internship experience can vary, some students get a stipend of around 10,000 per month, while others don’t get paid at all. I think the placement cell does try hard, but honestly, not everyone gets placed. A lot of us are more focused on pursuing higher education instead.
