The CSE department is a great department to study in VIT. Students are open to a lot of facilities and learning resources. The teaching staff is helpful as well. 

• The CSE department of VIT ranks right after top IITs, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, and the top NITs. The department is well-reputed in the industry.
• VIT has a great research culture. The course curriculum is industry-oriented. 
• The coding culture at VIT is thriving. CSE students from the institute do great in GSoC, ACM ICPS, and other competitions. 
• There’s a great startup ecosystem on campus at VIT. Many people are doing great things in Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence. 
• You do not need to worry much about placement if you have joined VIT. In the 2021 placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 75 LPA. 

So, choosing VIT for your CSE degree will definitely be worth it. 

NIT Puducherry has recently shifted to its permanent campus, although IIITDM’s campus seems better. As for the faculty, again IIITDM has an upper hand but you will have to figure out an approach towards them. 

Both the institutes have a fairly comprehensive and challenging curriculum for their students. They are both good placement wise but if you have more than 7.5 CGPA you will be allowed to sit for all the companies in IIITDM. You can see which suits best to your requirements. 

One of my friends studied in JNTU Hyderabad and she says that the college is very good when it comes to studies and placement. 

It gives you great opportunities to build your career and thrive in it. The subject knowledge is crucial and is given great importance there. The curriculum is also very structured and helps students with the approach to study. Many MNCs participate in the placement drive. In the NIRF Ranking 2021, JNTU has ranked 62 along with other NITs. It will be unfair to compare two very different entities but you can choose based on your requirement. 

PSG is a great college if you are looking for good placements. Since it has been many years since the establishment of PSG, it has had a great rapport. Every year top companies conduct campus interviews in PSG and many students land up in their dream job with a high package – either here or abroad. 

While NIT is a college of national importance whose degree value is evergreen. Apart from that, the facilities in NIT Puducherry are amazing. They have excellent hostels and good food. They have great faculties and teaching methodologies, however, the placement facility is still in the line of improvement and they are inviting more MNCs for conducting college campus recruitment drives. Currently, the median CTC offered at the institute is 6 LPA. 

NIT, Puducherry is a quiet place with no disturbance and a great environment to focus on your studies and self-growth. The faculties are great mentors who afford to motivate you internally. If you are an academic scholar and you bagged a chance to study at NIT Puducherry, don’t miss it.

The hostel at NIT Puducherry is amazing with all the required facilities available. There are two hostels, one for boys and another one for girls. In the next 1–2 years, more hostels with single rooms will be built.

Following are a few details about the hostel and the facilities it offers:

• There is a mess on the first floor of each hostel. As a result, you won't have to walk far to eat your meal. The mess food is better than that of most other government colleges.
• There are two big lifts in each hostel. As a result, you will not have to climb many stairs.
• Each floor of the hostel has high-speed Wi-Fi and LAN, as well as water coolers, two large washrooms, and fire extinguishers, and fire alarms.
• On each floor, there is a common room with a television. You can watch movies, sports, and other entertainment.
• The rooms are spacious and well-maintained.
• There are security available 24 hours a day, and they are quite helpful.
• Most importantly, from the boy's hostel, you can see the enormous expanse of the Bay of Bengal sea. For those who do not live near the coast, the view is breathtaking.
• Due to the sea, there is a cool breeze for 24 hours.

Overall, it is a great institute with the best facilities.

Well, NIT Puducherry is not very old but till now they do not have a specific ground for playing. But considering the sports facilities, you can find huge areas around it that can be utilized as a sports ground. 

• For football, you can simply use the ground available. 
• The hockey ground is situated in the southeast direction but it is not very spacious. 
• Coming to volleyball, the NIT authorities have placed a net in the middle of the ground. You can find this facility at the boys' hostel currently. 
• For the rest of the outdoor games like basketball or baseball, you need to travel or explore nearby because the court at college is not very spacious. However, the campus has 2 indoor badminton courts and 2 table tennis courts. 
• NITP also conducts sports day. In which intra-NIT competitions are held among four teams of the college. 

There are no professional coaches available currently and if you need personal coaching or one-to-one sports training on any sports, you need to take a look outside the college campus. 

I have a few friends from NIT Pondicherry and according to them, there is a gym at NIT Puducherry. Even though it's not a very advanced one, you can still manage to use it just to keep yourself fit. The gym is quite basic with few pieces of equipment and not very spacious. Students mainly use this place for stretching or yoga activities.
