One of my friends applied for PGDM Finance at LBSIM last year and was shortlisted for the interview round. Here are the questions that he had to answer during his interview.
There was a year gap after his graduation, so they asked what he did in that time period. He explained that he was self-employed. After the brief introduction, the following questions were asked.
To his surprise, he wasn’t asked the general questions like Why MBA? Strength and weakness, etc. Overall his experience was good and he was able to convert the call.
One of my friends studied in LBSIM. According to him, when it comes to the courses in LBSIM, it comprises 2 courses, namely, PGDM General and PGDM Finance.

Throughout the year, several activities happen on campus which keeps students engaged and enriched. Lastly, this institute tries to impart the ethic and values of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastriji to its students which is extremely beneficial for the students as they get on a path of a fair & ethical life.
To give you a better understanding, the following answer is using the three Cs to compare:
CAT cut-off for a B-School is a good way to figure out how good it is. The cutoff for LBSIM is around 85+ percentile and the cutoff for BIMTECH is around 75 percentile. It is clear that LBSIM has a much better intake, which makes group learning even better. Also, LBSIM has the best return on investment (ROI) of any school in its field.
LBSIM Delhi and SIBM Bangalore, both are good management colleges in India. If you want to pursue a career in finance then LBSIM would be a better choice as the PGDM (Finance) course offered by the institute is considered best in the country.

Both the institute offers equally good facilities, infrastructure, and similar industry exposure. Being located in Delhi, LBSIM has connections to companies across various business domains. Whereas, in Bangalore, there are more IT companies.
I can speak with certainty that PGDM at LBSIM is a far better option than PGDM in Financial services at IMI Delhi. My brother is a recent pass out from LBSIM and the following highlight of the institute are based on his personal experiences
All these points clearly state that LBSIM is a very good choice for a PGDM program.
One of my cousins studied at LBSIM. So I can share some facts about it. This might help you get a better idea about the college.
LBSIM offers 2 courses - PGDM General and PGDM Finance. After completing 1 year in PGDM General you can choose a dual specialization from - Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, and Systems.
After completing 1 year in PGDM Finance you can choose a dual specialization from - Treasury Management, Investment Management, Risk Management, Strategic Accounting & Control.
You will get proper industrial and corporate exposure. Guest lectures are conducted. Being in Delhi and surrounded by Gurgaon and Noida, the college has a locational advantage.

There are a lot of colleges from the same league which fails to provide enough facilities, exposure, and learning opportunities to their students. But here LBSIM beats every single one of them.
The first 3 trimesters of the first year at LBSIM Delhi are the most difficult. You need to complete assignments, group projects, etc. at a rapid pace. The most challenging part is getting accustomed to the hectic schedule.
The pace of course work is comparatively slower in 2nd year. As the focus shifts from academics to placements.
If you look at FORE’s prior placement statistics, you'll notice that even before they started this new PGDM in Financial Management, they were a good pick for the financial sector, finance businesses, and overall BFSI.
