How do the placements really compare between DTU B.Tech Information Technology and NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech Information Technology?

T
TheoreticalTernTitan Posted On : April 14th, 2026

I can’t speak for CSE at DTU, but here’s what you can expect at NIT Kurukshetra.

  • Great placement opportunities. This is one of the main reasons to choose NITK. When placement season arrives, big IT giants come for recruitment.
  • Quality of Education. The faculty responsible for Bachelor’s level education are dedicated and accountable for their students' learning. Many students have even published papers due to their excellence and guidance.
  • A large and green campus. The campus offers various facilities like a swimming pool, gym, and is located very close to the beach. You wouldn’t ask for anything more, trust me!
  • Well-maintained hostel (Boys). At least for the first year, you’ll share a room with 2–3 people or have a single room, depending on your choice and availability. There may be some water shortages during the summer, but there’s always high-speed LAN/Wi-Fi.

These are just a few highlights of what NITK has to offer, along with a spacious Central Computer Centre (CCC), excellent technical labs, and numerous cultural activities. The climate tends to be humid throughout the year due to its coastal location.

Should I go for B.Tech Civil Engineering in DTU or B.Tech Mathematics and Computing in NIT Warangal?

A
AcrylicArtist Posted On : April 14th, 2026

Both DTU for B.Tech Civil Engineering and NIT Warangal for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing have their merits, but when it comes to fees and return on investment, NIT Warangal stands out. DTU’s fee structure starts at 2,19,000 INR and increases every year, with decent placement stats but capped at around 90,000 INR per month for civil engineering. In contrast, NIT Warangal has a higher overall placement average, with top packages reaching 1.2 crore from tech companies, and a more robust internship offering with stipends up to 200k. Given the higher potential earnings and the solid education in a rapidly growing field, I’d lean towards Mathematics and Computing at NIT Warangal for better financial returns and growth opportunities.

Should I go for B.Tech Industrial & Production Engineering in DTU or BE Computer Science and Engineering in Jadavpur University?

T
TheGrumpyGriffin Posted On : April 14th, 2026

When comparing DTU's B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering with Jadavpur University's BE in Computer Science and Engineering, DTU seems to have a slight edge in placement opportunities. With companies like Google and Microsoft offering lucrative internships and an impressive highest package of around 1.8 crore, DTU provides a strong job market for its students. In contrast, while Jadavpur University also offers solid internship prospects, the highest packages reported are lower at around 1 crore.

If you have a keen interest in mechanics and manufacturing, DTU could be the better choice for strong placements, but if you're passionate about software and coding, Jadavpur University is still a great option.

Which one should I opt for DTU B.Tech Mathematics and Computing or IIIT Delhi B.Tech Computer Science and Biosciences

C
CelestialCicada Posted On : April 14th, 2026

Thank you for the !

So why should you choose Mathematics and Computing (MCU) at DTU over Computer Science and Social Sciences (CSSS) or Computer Science and Biosciences (CSB) at IIIT Delhi?

  • Easier to score a high CGPA at DTU.
  • DTU is an older institution, generally more recognized than IIITD, though that perception is changing.
  • Lower fees.
  • More free time.

Now, why should you choose IIITD over DTU?

  • You’ll be surrounded by tech-savvy and smart peers.
  • You’ll learn to balance various responsibilities and navigate corporate life, including communication skills and networking.
  • Highly qualified professors and solid course content. A good CGPA can open up numerous research opportunities abroad. So, if you’re considering CSSS or CSB and have research aspirations, IIITD is the better choice.
  • With the CS + X course, you’ll gain a specialization that enhances job prospects.
  • Regardless of your feelings about programming, you’ll need to be at least reasonably good at it to achieve a good grade. This will definitely equip you with valuable skills.

So there you have it—the pros of both colleges, based on my personal opinion. Best of luck!

EDIT: After reading other answers, I realized I didn’t address the Mathematics vs. SS/CB aspect. In my view, the decision should ultimately align with your interests. Mathematics courses that a

How do the placements really compare between IIT Delhi B.Tech Textile Technology and DTU B.Tech Information Technology?

T
TarnishedTigerTalon Posted On : April 13th, 2026

No other college or university can compete with the IIT tag, no matter how good they are.

But in this case, I can assure you that in terms of:

  • Infrastructure
  • College life
  • Placement opportunities
  • Freedom (to pursue your skills in terms of time)
  • Fees
  • Quality of teaching

There won’t be any significant difference across these parameters, except for that tag mentioned earlier. And remember, that tag doesn’t last more than 2–3 years after you complete your course.

In the corporate world, what truly matters is how good you are at your work. They don’t care if you’re from IIT or DTU. Thanks!

How do the placements really compare between IIT Delhi B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and DTU B.Tech Information Technology?

E
EchoingEarth Posted On : April 13th, 2026

IIT Delhi's B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering shines with a robust curriculum that stays relevant to industry needs, alongside exceptional internship opportunities at top firms like Google and Amazon, leading to placement rates above 85%. In contrast, DTU's B.Tech in Information Technology is solid but typically attracts fewer high-profile companies, which may impact overall placement quality. The campus life at IIT Delhi is vibrant, with numerous clubs and events, while DTU also offers a good experience but may not match the extensive resources and community found at IITD. Personally, I would choose IIT Delhi for its superior placement prospects, diverse internships, and a more enriching campus environment, making it the better option for anyone looking to maximize their career potential.

Should I go for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing in DTU or B.Tech Industrial & Production Engineering in PEC Chandigarh?

L
LostSanctuary Posted On : April 13th, 2026

I've looked into both DTU's B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing and PEC Chandigarh's B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering, and here's my take. DTU has a strong tech focus with a curriculum that aligns well with industry needs and impressive internship opportunities, like offers from companies like Adobe. The campus life is vibrant with active societies and events, which is a plus for overall experience. PEC, on the other hand, has a solid reputation but might not offer the same level of tech-centric placements as DTU. If you’re aiming for a tech-driven career and want a lively campus, DTU would be my pick. But if you're more inclined towards production engineering and prefer a slightly different approach, PEC could be a great fit too.

I’m not very familiar with the placement scenario at DTU. However, at Jadavpur University (JU), the overall placement for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is extremely impressive.

  • Average package for CSE is over 20 LPA.
  • At DTU, it’s around 16 LPA.
  • The highest package at JU is 39 LPA.

How do the placements really compare between DTU B.Tech Chemical Engineering and IIIT Delhi B.Tech Computer Science and Biosciences?

ElectricDruid Posted On : April 13th, 2026

From what I've researched, DTU's B.Tech in Chemical Engineering offers excellent placement opportunities with an impressive average package of over 16 lakhs and a highest package of 1.8 Crore, which is quite appealing considering the tuition fee of around 2,29,000 for the year 2025-2026. In contrast, IIIT Delhi's B.Tech in Computer Science and Biosciences might yield good returns too, but specific placement data isn't as clear. DTU also has a solid scholarship framework and a strong internship pipeline with big names like Microsoft and Google, enhancing its value for money. If you lean towards tech and want a more established placement record, DTU could be the smarter financial choice, while IIIT Delhi might suit those interested in a niche field with potentially emerging opportunities.
