I’m currently pursuing a B.Sc in Nutrition & Dietetics at LPU, and honestly, it’s been a great experience so far! The curriculum is really comprehensive, covering everything we need to know. Plus, the practical classes and internship opportunities are super helpful for applying what we learn in real-world scenarios. The tuition is around 3 - 4 lakhs for the whole program, but I managed to get a scholarship through the LPUNEST exam, which has reduced my fees significantly. Overall, I feel like I’m getting a solid education, and I can see good placement opportunities ahead!
In India, no company is paying 1 Crore CTC to freshers—at least not yet. Currently, the maximum CTC for freshers is around 35–45 LPA. Even in IITs, the 1 Crore CTC offers are typically for positions in the US, Singapore, Japan, etc.
Regarding placements at LPU, things are improving rapidly. In recent batches, the highest package offered was 6 LPA, then it jumped to 12 LPA, and now it's around 15 LPA. While such high-paying companies are few, decent placements are still available if you don’t land a role with those big names. If campus drives don’t work out, off-campus opportunities are always an option, and there’s definitely some scope there.
Also, don’t stress too much about initial packages. Your starting salary won’t define your earnings after five years of experience. Many have started with packages around 4 LPA and jumped to 18 LPA in just two years. One individual started at 3 LPA and is now working in a European country at 30 LPA (when converted to INR).
Once you decide where to study, focus on gaining as much experience as possible and don’t get too caught up in these placement packages!

I chose BCA at LPU primarily because of my passion for computers. The faculty is really supportive, and they maintain a great classroom atmosphere. So far, I’ve enjoyed being part of various fests and events on campus, which are held every month. For placements, I’ve learned that the average package for our branch is around 5-6 lakh p.a., and the highest can go up to 3.3 CR p.a. Although I haven’t done my internship yet, I feel confident about the opportunities that will come in the 6th semester when we’re eligible for placements. Overall, I believe LPU is a good choice for my career!
LPU and Parul University both offer B.Sc in Forensic Sciences, but LPU seems to have a stronger edge in placement opportunities and career outcomes. LPU boasts an impressive average package ranging from 7 lakhs to 1 crore, with major companies like Microsoft and Amazon actively recruiting students, while Parul offers an average package of 20-25 lakhs. LPU also provides extensive placement training starting from the second semester, ensuring students are well-prepared for interviews. If you're looking for better job prospects and a robust support system, I'd suggest LPU is the way to go. However, if you prefer a more diverse campus life and extracurricular activities, Parul University could be a good fit.
Lovely Professional University (LPU) provides several financial aid options, including:
I've looked into both LPU for B.Tech in Electronics & Communication and Parul University for B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, and it seems like LPU has better placements and internship opportunities with big companies like Amazon and TCS, plus the campus is quite lively with various sports and social clubs. However, Parul University might offer a stronger curriculum for computer science, which is really important if you're leaning towards coding and software. Personally, I'd choose LPU if I want a good blend of hardware and software with better placement chances, but if you're super into computer science and coding, Parul might be the better fit for you.
LPU is an excellent choice for pursuing a B.Sc in Forensic Science! LPU offers a three-year B.Sc Forensic Science program. This program covers both theoretical and practical aspects of criminalistics, ensuring proficiency in laboratory skills such as forensic molecular biology, forensic chemistry, and toxicology.
Key features of the program include:
The curriculum provides in-depth knowledge of forensic chemistry, forensic toxicology, forensic anthropology, ballistics, explosives, forensic biology, serology, DNA, fingerprinting, and questioned documents.
Research areas include the analysis of drugs using both conventional and modern techniques.
I’m currently pursuing B.Com (Hons.) at LPU, and I chose this course because I wanted to pursue CA alongside it. The curriculum aligns well with CA subjects, so I didn’t have to study much outside of what I needed for CA. However, I feel that the job market isn’t very favorable for B.Com graduates, and the internship opportunities mostly go to B.Tech students. As for placements in 2025, I heard that over 1050 companies visited the campus, and they made around 8400 offers. The highest package was 64 LPA for domestic placements, which sounds impressive, but I think B.Com students might not get as many opportunities compared to others.
I would definitely give a thumbs up for LPU! Trust me, I faced the same dilemma when I had to make my decision. I did a lot of research before choosing LPU for my B.Tech, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The curriculum here is fantastic! The placements are quite decent too. Top recruiters include:
