IIT Kanpur placements are held in 2 different phases i.e., Phase I and Phase II. The institute is yet to publish its department-wise placement data. However, during the phase I placements in 2023, IIT Kanpur’s average package stood at INR 26.27 LPA with the highest package of INR 1.9 CPA. The department-wise placement report is yet to be published by the institute. Some of the top recruiters of IIT Kanpur include American Express, Pwc, Intel, JP Morgan & Chase, etc. 

According to the summer internship placement data released for PGP, PGP-Finance and PGP-Liberal Studies, there were a total of 541 students in the for batch 2022-24. The summer internship placement drive was conducted for 3 days and 122 recruiters participated.

The highest stipend offered was INR 6.47 Lakhs, which has increased 73% from the previous year. The average stipend of females has also increased by 23% and stood at INR 2.81 Lakhs. The average and the median stipend has increased by 25%.

IIM Lucknow concluded its summer internship placement for PGP and PG-ABM batch 2023-25 with a 100% placement. The students received a total of 576 offers. They were placed across various roles in Consulting, Finance, General Management, Product Management, Sales & Marketing, Operations & Retail, and E-Commerce. 

The highest domestic stipend stood at INR 3.50 lakhs and the highest international stipend at INR 4 lakhs per month. The average and the median stipend were INR 1.31 lakhs per month and INR 1.30 lakhs per month respectively.

IIM Banglore is having an highest package of 1.15 crore an a average and median of 35lpa and 33lpa. IIM Calcutta closed its summer internship placement for the batch 2023-25 with a total of 513 offers for the batch of 466 students. Around 165 recruiters participated in the placement drive for more than 240 roles from all sectors of the industry. 

IIM Calcutta recorded an average stipend of INR 1.65 lakhs and the top 25% percent of the batch received an average stipend of INR 2.31 lakhs per month. The highest stipend stood at INR 3.75 lakhs per month and the median stipend went as high as INR 1.7 lakhs per month.

The summer internship placement at IIM Bangalore for the PGP and PGP-BA batch 2023-25 was held from November 06, 2024 to Nov 11, 2024. There were a total of 602 eligible students who appeared for the placement drive. There was also a targeted drive conducted with leading corporates, for the students with disabilities and 3 students found the summer internship on their own.

IIT Delhi MTech program has seen a growing placement trend over the past few years, and the students get placed in top recruiting companies. For the MTech students, the median package that was offered was INR 12.50 LPA in 2022, INR 15 LPA in 2021, and INR 11 LPA in 2020. The MTech program specialization in Atmospheric Oceanic Sciences and Technology secured a 100% placement rate, with students receiving job opportunities from reputable organizations that are related to analytics, reinsurance, and atmospheric science. The MTech program placement has always had a strong placement record. In the IIT Delhi MTech placement 2023, students were placed in top recruiting companies such as Qualcomm, Fujitsu R&D - India, EXL, Euler Motors, Oracle, Pinpoint Investment, ZL Technology, HCL, Samsung R&D Noida, TCS Research, Bandhan Bank, etc. In 2021, MTech students at IIT Delhi secured a placement percentage of 64.05%. IIT Delhi 2023 batch received 260 pre-placement offers, with the highest domestic package at INR 1 CPA and the highest international package at INR 2 CPA.

IIM Calcutta recorded a 100% placement of the last batch i.e. 7th PGDBA batch (2021-23). The batch had a total of 60 students, among them, 58 students were placed and 2 students opted out of the placement. The highest package stood at INR 52 LPA and the average package at INR 31.37 LPA. The graduates from PGDBA were offered roles in domains like Business model Analytics, Financial Research, Market Research, Analytics Business Consulting, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Business Analytics, Risk Analytics, etc. 

The placement has been consistently increasing. In 2023, the average package has increased by 5.6% and the highest package has been increased by 22.4% from the last batch.

During the 2023 placements around 20% of students were placed in Chief of Staff and Founder’s Office roles. Then there were around 6 - 7 VC offers from small VC firms, large VC firms, Indian and International VC firms. Then there were roles for Data & Consulting, Product Management, Sales, Finance, Operations, etc.
