One of my friends studied at Ravenshaw University. According to him, the cut-off always varies between 83%-87%.
There are a few reasons for its variation which he mentioned and I would like to discuss with you:
|
Rank for B.Sc. (Science) (1st Counselling) |
1-500 |
|
Rank for B.Sc. (Science) (2nd Counselling) |
501-1000 |
|
B.Sc. Geology Intake |
48 |
The cut-off may vary yearly but if you really want Geology then work hard and make sure you get a good percent in +2. You can get into one of the few institutes which offer geology.
The cut-off depends on your choice of course and college. It varies every year and it can be as high as 99% and as low as 40%.
To give you a rough idea of DU Cut off, you require at least 94% marks for admission to science subjects. For commerce stream courses like B.Com, you must have scored 94% in the top 4 subjects including a language.
On the other hand, the cut-off for Humanities subjects must be between 90-92%. If you are interested in doing Hindi (Hons) or Sanskrit (Hons), the cut-off is very low for these programs. You can easily get a seat at St.Stephens with 66% marks in Sanskrit (Hons).
For South Campus, you can reduce 2-3% from the ones mentioned above. Take a look at the previous year’s DU cut-off for better understanding.
Any score over 200 on the IPM Aptitude Test is generally considered to be safe. However, those with a score of roughly 180 are also invited to the PI round. In order to increase your chances of converting calls, you must work to maximize your aptitude test score.
IIM Indore IPM requires sectional IPMAT Cutoffs other than the general IPMAT cutoff. Therefore, it's crucial to perform well in each section.
There will only be 2 subjects in the IIM Indore IPMAT:
It is advised that you take both exams. In both exams, the verbal portion is largely the same. The sectional cut-off and overall cut-off are difficult to determine because they depend on a number of variables.
Usually, XISS Ranchi cutoff for CAT/XAT stays around 60+. The institute offers four specializations. Here is the 2021 CAT cutoff for different specializations.

The cut-off depends on the pool of candidates that apply each year and may vary year on year basis.
No, it’s difficult to get an IIM call with an 87 percentile. While IIMs release a cutoff below 90, the actual cutoff is much higher. For instance, IIM Ahmedabad announces a cut-off as low as 80 percentile in CAT, but the actual cut-off percentile is higher than 98.
IIMs are the dream B School of many and the first choice of many MBA aspirants. However, not every applicant is able to make it into IIMs due to tough competition and limited seats. The cutoff of top IIMs such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, etc is around 95 to 100 percentile.
Apart from IIMs, there are many top MBA colleges accepting the 80 percentile in the CAT exam. Some of these are baby IIMs and others are top MBA/PGDM colleges in India. Let’s have a look at these MBA colleges in India.

Yes, most IIMs have a minimum CAT cutoff around 90 percentile so you can expect a call from IIMs if you touch the 90 percentile mark. The institute-wise overall CAT cutoff is as follows

IIM Ahmedabad |
80 |
|
IIM Bangalore |
90.6 |

The new IIMs usually have their cut-off requirement at 85 with IIM Shillong having a cut-off of 70 in CAT. However, it’s the sectional cutoff that is more important. One needs to fulfill the minimum cut-off requirement for each section, which varies from IIM to IIM. The lowest sectional cutoff is that if IIM Ahmedabad one can get a call with just 70 percentile.
The actual CAT cut-off is higher than that released by institutes before shortlisting for the further process of the institutes. For most of the IIMs, this cutoff falls in the range of 96 to 100 percentile while the released cutoff is just in the range of 80 to 90 percentile.

Students must note the counseling procedure will be decisive in the process of selection. A rank of 4936 can lead one to any branch they'd like to choose.
Since my sister was a student of Civil Engineering branch at IIT Bombay, I have information about the same only.
The above ranks are for General Category only. Reserved categories can expect a call at a rank higher than that mentioned above. The overall admission procedure comprises 75% weightage to GATE score and 25% weightage to written test and interview.
Don't stick to a single branch, consider all the courses and programs before making any decision. All types of industries need different kinds of students. You should not be particular about the branch. Choose your program and branch according to your interests.
